(continued) since when does Michael Myers talk? In the 1978 version Michael was seemed like a normal child with a picture perfect childhood and all of a sudden he goes nuts and kills his sister and that's what makes it creepy. Nothing caused him to kill his sister, he just did it because he was pure evil. And that blank stare and how he was silent *shudder*. The thing i dislike about Rob Zombie's remake is they make Michael Myers more of a human being than this unstoppable evil force of nature like they made it seem like in the 1978 version. In the 2007 version, its like Michael was bullied and had a horrible childhood so thats why he became psychotic and killed a bunch of people and bla bla bla he is a normal psychotic murderer and in H2 I mean what the crap?? He grunted everytime he killed someone and he screamed DIE! at the end

All you have to do is look at this kid's sentence structure to see why he would say the remake is better.? Kids today, not too bright, and have little attention span. they must have films dumbed down to their level so they can follow along. Too much story and they get bored.

The original is eerie, and there is a substancial amount? of dread. But I'm going to agree with Zombie here and say that there needed to be more gore, and in my opinion, more dread. That said, Zombies remake was fairly good, but it was lacking the eerie feeling of being watched, that the original had. So the question becomes, which can you live without, gore / dread, or eerieness of being watched? For me, I just always watch both of them in a row, cause I need both.
