The Sigma 10-20mm, 8-16mm, Tokina 11-16mm are Ultra Wide Angle lenses (UWA) Just to clear things up. Regular wide angle lenses are around 24/28mm (35mm equivalent of-course) There isn't really a best UWA lens IMO. It's down to what your? needs are. My Tokina 11-16mm suits my needs but it's not perfect.

I'm going insane trying to find the best wide-angle lens that's not a fisheye for my D3100. I was thinking about getting a Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX? DC HSM, but apparently there is no switch on the Nikon fit for AF/M. Some guy on ebay is claiming to sell one new with the switch, but a Sigma rep said: It does not have the AF/M switch as the AF and MF are controlled through the camera body on the Nikon mount. The stretching is only one of the things that I don't like about the lens. I need to be able to use an ND filter on it preferably my 77mm one cause all my other lenses are 77mm. After using the Sigma for a while I really missed having the 2.8 or lower aperture cause I also shoot inside. The Tokina just suits? me better.

I dont pixel peep so i'm not 100% sure. The corners look fine to me. I don't have the 8-16mm anymore. I didn't like the stretching on both sides of the image and not being able? to use filters was a pain. I'm now rocking the 11-16mm Tokina and I like it more then the Sigma. It's not as wide as the Sigma but if I want a really wide picture i just grab my 10-17mm Tokina fisheye.

Thank you so much! I would buy that lens without any doubt if it could attach filter. I love wide angle pictures (I have the sigma 10-20mm) but also I like to use my ND and CPL filters......one more question: how are the cornets? wide open? how soft?

I've got a full review up on the PhotographyREVIEW site as well as a demo video that compares it to other super-wide lenses. For what it's worth, I don't think AF speed matters that much with super-wide lenses like this since they? have so much depth-of-field.

That is not possible. If you want to control of camera lights with your SB900 you'll need Nikons CLS compatible flashes like the SB600, SB700 and SB800. There are also 3rd party flashes that support Nikons CLS like the new youngnuo 565EX.?

Not sure if I understand yr question. Slave flashes are made to be triggered by another flash. It will in general also work with a built in flash and you do not need a? pocket wizard for that. So, if you use the built in flash of yr D80, that is supposed to trigger the LP160. As I am not completely familiar with the D80. I am not sure if it will fire a preflash. It probably will, so you have to set yr LP 160 in the "Slave I mode"

@B3rgmark96 I know only of 1 option if you don't want to use a radio/infrared trigger. Using your on camera flash will trigger the optical slave and have the LP160 fire. If you don't want the on camera flash to show up in your picture you could shield it off with your hands (or something else) i guess. Triggering it without the use of a pocket wizard or any radio trigger? device is less then ideal. In some situations the flash unit (optical slave) might be shielded and not go off.

If you? have got the nikon D80, will the LumoPro LP160 work in slave mode with your built in flash? I've searched around for some options to fire the flash without a pocketwizard or cactus and so on, but i haven't found the answer yet, maybe it's cuz i'm from sweden but can you please help me? Is there a way for me to fire the flash(yn460 or a yn560 or the lp160)without using a second flash(like you did in the video) or a trigger?

@4:53 The slave eye icon is a syncing function that allows you to sync with other flashes that receive preflashes i.e. Nikon CLS? capable flashes us the optical eye. Before that feature pure manual flashes would be out of sync with CLS capable flashes.

A little dust can't harm the camera physically but it can do a lot of harm to the pictures. It would definitely be a shame when shooting an event with dust on the sensor without knowing it and ruining all the pictures. That would be a total waste of time, effort and money. From now on I'll check? my sensor before each shoot. :)

I've done it like this a lot of times as well as upside down, sideways and whatever position you can think of. Just two days ago I locked up the mirror to see if? there was any dust on the sensor and there was nothing at all. I've had my 7D about 9 months now so all is good. I get that there are better ways to changes the lens but geez guy, it's not the end of the world or anything.

Mijn fietstoch van centrum Den Haag naar PBXS Zoetermeer. In totaal heeft het 50 minuten geduurd om naar Zoetermeer te fietsen.
Dit alles is geschoten met een Canon G9 op timelapse mode. De G9 is op een statief gezet en de statief heb ik op de fiets vastgeplakt.
