i explain how to fix parity on larger cubes with commutators starting at 31:25. technically speaking, commutators cannot solve parity alone. that is why you have to do that extra inner-layer 90-degree turn. in general, solving parity with commutators is a long and tedious process, which is why i didn't spend too much time on it in this video. i showed that example? simply to show that it is possible to solve parity intuitively, rather than with an extremely long algorithm.

Excellent for people who are interested in more than just memorizing algorithms to speed solve the cube. Anyone can do that, but understanding the fundamentals of why certain moves can be made make the solving of the cube more rewarding. Thank you for taking the time for giving the us? a lesson in group theory and apply it to a specific, real world example. Most cubers want to memorize and could care less about the underlying mathematics. I'm not one of those people, and enjoyed this video.

Anyway, for the last case you did, I also did one myself that is a shorter solution (just in case you weren't able to find a shorter solution). it takes alot of practice because when doing a commutator and conjugate together, when you're at the "middle of it", aka when you've performed (Z X Y), sometimes you can "panic" and forget what to do because the cube looks really scrambled and instead of automatically performing (X' Y' Z'), you kinda try to intuitively figure out what to do next. in order to get really good you need to kinda ignore how scrambled the cube is and just? trust that the commutator/conjugate will work.

I'm selling a set of Ibanez Axis Humbucker pickups. The same set used in the Daron? Malakian signature guitar (DMM1) aswell as most of Darons guitars. Axis Humbuckers are also used in Darons IC200. Search this on Ebay: "IBANEZ Axis Humbucker pickup set (or separate)" Awesome tone, massive output, awesome distortion breakup. Super cheap. PM if your interested.
