Hyper Dimension has great graphics (better than these), and HAD great gameplay for the time. These days, when moving from a modern DBZ fighter like Budokai 3, and back to Hyper Dimension, the controls feel a bit stiffer and harder to get a? grasp of. It will always be a classic, but the gameplay hasn't aged very well. Also, Shin Butouden is just, more or less, the better port of Ultimate Battle 22.

Because PSX was better at 3D modeling than Saturn so Bandai thought itd be a good idea to make 360 rotating 3D backgrounds to separate the look of the two games but in the end it was a bad idea because Saturn versions 2D backgrounds looked? better & lent to better game play. Making multiplatform games to be slightly different from each other was the norm back then. Nowadays multiplatform games try to be the same more or less

This game is better. It has: Better speed (no jump floating) Better hit detection Better controls (moves were easier to pull off) Better looking backgrounds Better game modes (Satan mode was funny) And doing basic? moves was easier due to closer combat in different sized stages If you want a SF with DB characters you might as well play Super DBZ or Hyper Dimension (which are both good too).
