Just doing some test shots with my Y-6. The camera is hard mounted while I track down and crush vibrations. Once their low enough I'll soft mount which will get rid of the jiggle in the video.

I'm pretty happy with the results. Flight time on a 4500mAh 3s pack is about 7 minutes. It's designed to carry two packs so I expect 12-14 minutes with 2 packs in parallel.

My Chinese 2.2kW spindle with Huanyang VFD. Black and red thing stuck to the VFD is the only 10k potentiometer I could find on short notice, it's out of an old virtual reality video gaming headset thing I parted out for FPV stuff.

More GoPro Video from an unseasonably warm Saturday. I cut away most of the flight and just corss faded here and there. Can see where I nearly crashed the plane. Fortunately I only squashed the landing gear.. must have been a wind gust, or a radio glitch, or a temporary spike in gravity!

Just tooling around with my radio controlled brushless Twist 60 with the GoPro Hero 2 pointed backwards this time. I'm really enjoying the video quality of this camera. After watching this video I noticed a little flutter in the rudder, nothing a little CA won't take care of.

I just picked up my GoPro Hero2 HD the other day and have been messing with the features since it's not really good R/C Airplane/Helicopter flying weather right now. This time lapse was set on the 2 seconds per picture in the 5MP/Wide resolution setting. I assembled the stills and compressed the video with Quicktime Pro. About 1400 frames in 46 minutes, played back in 46 seconds.

I am currently revisiting this project to a much deeper extent so this is a historical reference video for my blog, not something current.
In 2003 I was messing around with custom night lighting for my Raptor 60. This video shows the color shifting blade tip lights which were made from RGB LEDs driven by an Atmel AVR microcontroller. The skids as well.
