My visit at Saint Ignatius Loyola Church (Aaliyah's funeral)

During my week in New York, I did not only visit Baby Girl's grave, but also the Saint Ignatius Loyola Church, the Church, where Aaliyah's funeral was hold on 31 August 2001.
I collected some scenes from her funeral and mixed them with my pictures, which I took in the week from 09th March 2012.

Sorry for shaking that much during filming, but I was nervous as hell as it was always my biggest wish to be at Baby Girl's grave, to be as close to her as possible..

:') Yea, it's really? that u feel her presence in this room. Fortunately, my friend and me have been the only visitors and she knew how much this moment means to me, so she left me some time alone with Aaliyah, which I still can't realize that I had the chance to be "alone" with her. Why u think u won't have the chance to visit her as well? :( I'm glad I could give u the feeling of like being there by yourself.

omg I would have been nervous just like you because she's there. We may not see,touch or hear her but you feel her presence there. I feel it through the video (or maybe that's just me) This is a huge event in a person's life. That is my wish to one day visit her, and which I may never have the chance to have come true:( But thanks to your video I had a chance to get near her in a way. I miss her so much:( She was such an amazing human being. It's so sad she isn't here with us:( ?

It did. I mean I love Aaliyah like she was my big sister and this ain't normal feelings, at least I didn't know her personally but still she means so f****n' much to me.. I love her since 1999 and this is the first time I could be so close to her. But I couldn't give her a hug and tell her what influence she? had/has on my life and what an angel she is! It hurts, it always hurted since 25 August 2001 & as happy as I was to stand in front of her bed for eternity, as sad it made me. I'm down, yea.

You know what else is creepy about Aaliyah's death. Her and Left Eye were friends and big 90s stars. Both died on the only two months that start with "A" on the 25th day of those months, and 8 months apart. Aaliyah died at 22, Left Eye? died at 30, 8 years apart.

Ahm... did u read everything? It's about her MOTHER talking to her and I'm sure Baby Girl didn't feel disturbed in her peace because of her mother eager to communicate to her. I'm sure this helped Diane to overcome the very hard times in her life. And I'm also pretty sure that Aaliyah's glad she could help her beloved mommy. It would be? something else if fans would disturb her spirit. But this is about family, about her mother who also was her best friend.

Aww then we feel the same! I'm from Switzerland and I was 10 when she died. The only thing I can remember is, that I loved her from the very first moment when I saw and heard her in TV with "Try Again". And only a short time after, she left this world :( Too less time for young? girls like us to realize what really happened. Yea, I exactly know what u mean. I always imagine how she held this piece of paper in her beautiful hands :')

Unfortunately no x( When she passed I was only 11 and I'm from Poland and Aaliyah didn't? visit my country.. i get my autographs from UK and German Fans. It is really special thing to have it coz its like u have something what she was holding in her hands somethin what is a little part of her life. :) I see u are a great Baby Girl fan so maybe u would like to join Just - Aaliyah Net / community ?:) Soon web is back :)

Thanks :) Here in Switzerland u can get the original Aaliyah album over an online shop. The diamond editions and the white cover of "Aaliyah" u have to search in the net. I had to do long research? 'till I found them. I finally got them on amazon.com . Check it out, maybe there are still some left.

Naja, ich bin auch nicht immer so ordentlich, mein Bürotisch z.B. ist überfüllt xD Is doch auch guut :) Kommt ja nicht darauf an wer von was am meisten hat, sondern dass wir alle Aaliyah in unserem Herzen tragen. Danke, finde den Remix auch genial! Naja, ich hatte? 5 Jahre Französisch in der Schule. Pflichtfach, und ich finde die Sprache einfach unglaublich schön! Leider brauche ich kein französisch mehr im Alltag, daher hab ichs total verlernt :( Lebe gleich am Bodensee :)
