I have every album Loudness put out....the double live album is with a doubt their best, but I still think Akira has no equal as to talent.....I do like Petrucci an awful lot, but when I saw Akira and Loudness just about 4 months? ago, he was still the amazing guitar player I remember of the 80's. He gained some weight which I guess is to expected but I got to watch from arms length for 90 minutes............and stood their slack-jawed in awe of abilities and style...

......Akira no doubt got influences from many players...but Rhodes is the dominant player her patterned himself after, Loudness was just in Phoenix, Arizona where I live and they played to only about 50 people at Club Red.....I asked who his main influence? was (which I already knew the answer because I have been following him since about 1983) and he infact said Rhodes....but then went on on to mention a few others, Malmsteen, Hendrix, Leslie West....and others...

That 20K? number came from a documentary, but the album actually charted higher in the UK (No. 9) than Plastic Letters. It charted at 10 in Australia and 33 in the U.S. This album should not have been produced under the circumstances, the most significant being that Stein became ill in 1981 and Debbie just has this shellshocked expression (and a wig) throughout the entire period. But it has its moments. It's a fun song but the video detracts from it.

That 20K number came from a documentary, but the album actually charted higher in the UK (No. 9) than Plastic Letters. It charted at 10 in Australia and 33 in the U.S. This album should not have been produced under the circumstances, the most significant being that Stein became ill in 1981 and Debbie just has this shellshocked? expression (and a wig) throughout the entire period. But it has its moments. It's a fun song but the video detracts from it.
