Ghostbusters PROTON PACK made for under $50 fanmade Posted by: pattyk77
Video duration: 273 seconds Fabricated proton pack and gun from junk around the house for little money. No working lights but pretty accurate to the look of the pack. I used an emergency car kit case for the base. Wasn't sure how it would end up. Here's the finished product minus the hose and alice pack frame. Check out some of the pieces I used for the parts. Hi missed your comment. I actually bit the bullet and bought the 2 sliding metal clips that lock together for about $15. You can google it? if interested, thanks.

you did a really good job with this. I don't really care? for the casing that everything's in though. Aside from that it's pretty cool though. And great job on the gun!

- I have you a thumbs? up because your comment made me laugh....but for only $50 bucks....it's not bad at all. These things could cost anywhere from $600-$1500 to make depending on which routes you take.

DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!! Freakin? Awesome!!!! The way you used ordinary household items to make a masterpiece!!! Freaking Inventive!!! You Should be Proud, When I saw it, I thought it was an exact replica!! When I found out what it was made of, I was Like WoW! Nice!

Yeah, the car kit was my biggest regret. It's too boxed? out.

Beautiful! people sell this baby 3 times as much as you spent, and? it looks tens times better, by any chance do you have the blue prints to do this. or are you now making them and selling them? please let me know, so i can make something this affordable next year!! thank you, and great job again!

Holy crap this is really awesome, never thought you could build this with so little effort and so easy to get pieces. With a nice? base, not the car kit, it would be pretty close to the original (lights and sound not included of course). Good job, awesome!

Ah yes, reminds me of how fun it is to build? your own stuff. I also plan to work on mine alittle more. I had first build it within a month's time, but I'm always looking to find new things to add too. You've got it pretty close for something built under 50 bucks man! I'm very impressed.

cool, cool. some last questions (hopefully). 1) Where can I find? the car kits that you used to make this? 2) What did you use for the power cell? and 3) What kind of straps (if any) did you use to throw the pack on your back?
By: jdolaktv. on 23 Jun 09, 18:38:31
awesome. I guess my only other question about this is how you were able? to attach the neutrona wand to the pack? I've seen blueprints that had a fabrication of the mount, but since I have to make 5 of these for a fan film of Ghostbusters I'm doing, I'm under a budget and time crunch.

That, was freakin' awesome. just a tip, if you want some authenticity towards it, I'd recommend cutting off the sides next to the cyclotron. But if you were going for a more original style look? (which is obvious) then major kudos, man! Any chance you'd be giving some tutorials on how to actually put it together?
By: iPenProductions. on 17 Jun 09, 17:36:55
Wow.. just... wow. Would it be possible for you to? post some kind of tutorial? Even if it's just written out instructions with a list of supplies, that would be great!
