I understand what you're saying. It's not about choosing or not choosing to be a part of a certain group, but that one group believes the other group needs to be "cured" of what makes it different from the themselve. And yes I agree, Pagans are treated very poorly by most Christians, and other religions as? well.

I thought of groups like 'autism speaks' and all those parents who want their kids to be 'normal' when I watched these movies. The search for a cure for autism is real, and no one even seems to think twice about it. They donate their money thinking their helping, but they don't. Ummm... no. Becoming a Christian or Pagan is a voluntary thing. You have to choose it, and usually a good amount of time after your birth. Being autistic is not chosen. You are born with it, just like others? may be born with green eyes, red hair, or dark skin.

The difference is that autism is not a birth defect. Sylvester Stallone's sagging face is a birth defect caused by a mishap with the forceps during his delivery. The ability I had to read at a university level when most of my peers were struggling with Mr. Poopy Goes To The? Sewer or whatever pamphlet material they had in schools at the time is because of my autism. I think Delaware would do well to learn of that unsubtle difference.

It's already happening in the US. There is a law in the state of Delaware where if someone under the age of 18? is diagnosed with autism or "suspected autism" it has to be reported to the department of health and social services. Failure to report results in $100 fine per violation. The law is called Autism surveillance and registration. Scary isn't it. So mutant registration is happening as we speak.

Sweet. I have Aspergers and I've thought of myself as a mutant for years (my creativity, writing skill? and massive trivia knowledge are my special mutant abilities). I don't know if you've heard, but in Australia, there was a law passed setting up a database for autistic people to sign up, supposedly for easier access to disability services. All I see is mutant registration. I shudder to think that it could happen in the US.
