It's not that. It's hard to explain but i'll try. It kind of just feels? lacking in power throughout the wholr rpm range. It shifts late through the gears, the engine will rev high,but the car accelerates slowly. When it reaches the revs where it should shift the car isnt going fast enough so it stays in gear until it hits the corect speed to shift. When it finally does shift it bucks because the rpms are higher than normal for the shifting speed.

Not? shifting at all? If it's shifting hard I know the pressure control solenoid in the transmission likes to fail, my mechanic said they issued a recall in 2004 but the car I had never got a new solenoid. If it isn't shifting at all it might be your trans, I've heard the impalas have junk transmissions. I'm not a mechanic just a former owner of an impala ls.

Thanks. I got cat replaced and it has fixed. I took it to the dealer and they covered it, but I had something else going on besides the cat. I has a misfire and possibly a bad batch of gas... The dealer also managed to disconnect my cat from the exhaust manifold and not put it back on correctly. I am getting a exhaust leak which has set off a P0420 code...its obviously a leak because I can hear the air whooshing near the firewall, im not worried about it should? be a simple

Don't know if you fixed it yet, if? not get the cat checked, these cars had a bad cat and the material inside of the cat breaks off and clogs it, resulting in no power. They issued a recall not sure how many years ago. Hopefully you'd be eligible for the recall.

I know , I know. It would look sick. I used to have %20 on my last 2 cars. I had a 2001 BMW 323ci with M3 kit, and a 2000 lincoln ls. I got pulled over like 20 times in one year for tints. Around where i live the cops like to use tints? as "probable cause" and pull you over. In NJ any tint on the front passanger windows is illegal. You can do the rears as dark as you want though. 'm just tired of getting hassled by the cops.
