Canon 550D with 17-85mm kit lens from 60D - DOF video test, uploaded straight from memory card. This lens seems to be better, but they are a lot heavier. I wanted to feel 60D wilth 18-55 lens from Canon, so swapped both lens (17-85 from 60D with 18-55 from 550D). Too bad the 60D battery was discharged, otherwise i would try 60D for sure! I'm still not sure if to get 550D or 60D.

yes you can get a battery charger for it and you dont? need any wires as it can be pulgged into mains directly. If this helps here is the modell number a45b. for pc upload you will need a cable if you look on the right hand side there is a flap see the connection. Hopew this helps

the demarcation between top end CONSUMER DSLR and PRO DSLR is arbitrary. Not many DSLR enthusiasts would turn down a 7D if it was offered at the same price as, say a 60D simply because a 7D has been labelled PRO. Both Canon and Nikon are capable of offering DSLR of the highest qualities. The only fair comparison can only be on the basis of what? you get for your money. For the same money Canon offer more than Nikon. That is why you can get the 7D for the same price or a bit less than the D7000

Pointless comparison.? I can pick up a 60D for under £600 in the open market. D7000 would set me back nearly £900 in the same market. So why not compare it to the 7D? In fact the 7D costs less than the D7000 if you shop around. So in all, Nikon is not good value for money even if both cameras produced the same quality image

I dont think so. You put a Nikon lens on like a DX 18-35 F/2.8 It takes better photos. Then a 60D but not by much. Both cameras are very good. But being a pro for 23 years I use Nikon -I love the glass Nikon has .THE 70-200 VR lens is one of the best in the world. I do? think Canon make a great camera if I did sports it would be a Canon. But for weddings Nikon works well for me . With a speed light.

Note that the speed of your kids is irrelevant to focusing on them. The question is, when you realize something is happening that you want to shoot, how fast will it acquire focus? I'd say around 1/3 of a second, depending on where? it was last focused.

nice review - i have this model and the grd lll images reign supreme over my canon s95 - which i will now be selling as the ricoh takes? top slot as my chosen street camera. the fixed prime lens is genius as is the snap focus (you pre-dial in your chosen focal distance) so street photography is really fast. for people wanting a zoom camera look elsewhere as the fixed lens on this ricoh allows for the best optics and the amazing f1.8 - yes, it's expensive and for a reason - it's very, very good!

Its very nice but 28mm equivalent is a bit wide for a walk around camera and it does not have image stabilization. If it had a 35-40mm? equivalent prime lens and in-body image stabilization I would buy it.

Achei muito bacana essa demonstração comparativa sobre as câmeras. Comprei? a Nikon e realmente não atendeu minhas espectativas. Testei a Canon e também achei coisas que não me atenderam. Vendi a Nikon e comprei a Sony. Uma das coisas que me fez votar na Sony como "a melhor câmera" foi o vídeo noturno com pouca luz. Realmente é incrível e supera muito as concorrentes, pois o vídeo e as fotos noturnas saem sem nenhum ruído, pois o modo ISO e o procesador são muito superiores em tecnologia.

If you are considering the Sony HX-1 or Canon SX1 IS, you should also consider the Casio EX-F1 because it has a focus ring around the lens, a external mic jack, a hot shoe, a threaded lens for? UV filters, and slow motion (if you want a fun bonus). Hard to believe it's from Casio. The problem is the price.

Don't know why this lens gets? contradictory reviews that much?! One reason being it is seen as an amateur lens mainly because of the VR, and "pros" don't like amateur lenses. This don't apply to this video, which seems to be fair, but still it's a good thing to vary the sources of information to get a better idea.

1. The sound is the zoom motor. You can hear it is quiet situations, though this was likely pronounced because there were a bunch of hard, reflective surfaces. 2. Yes. You'll hear when. 3. No filters, but generally not needed. Would? be nice for polarizer or ND. 4. Yes, very much. I also have a P880, which is still a very capable instrument, but I rarely use it. The Z980 is a great macro and telephoto camera. Overall very pleased.
