For 2 reasons:? Your sata 6g is running on PCIe 1x, is not enough to obtain full performances on the 510 and the only Marvell chipset that is able to perform similarly to native Intel P67 sata3 controller is Marvell 9182 which uses PCIe 2x.

i got same drive (single intel 510 120gb) on the asus sabertooth x58 pluged to the sata 6g and corsair 6gb 1600mgz ram? and intel i7 950 cpu but i only get 360 read 200 write why dont i get more than 400 read? anyone can help? thanks

One more question sir. Even though it may be meaningless, would it be possible for you to do a benchmark of this drive or other drives using the mobo's Marvell sata 3 6g chipset? and compare how much of a loss in performance there is between the mobo's Intel chipset and a Raid card. It would be greatly appreciated.

Good video again. Happy Memorial Day too. Question my Intel sata 3 6g ports are already used up. If I install this drive on the Marvell sata 3 6g chipset, will my performance of this SSD be tremendously decreased? Also, should I purchase a seperate raid card like the LSI card you mentioned and use the raid functions? on it instead of the mobo's raid configs? Asus Maximus IV Extreme Z68. I will be running RAID 1 and RAID 0 plus the SSD as a seperate stand alone drive for my OS boot. Thank you.

So guys, I wonder how many people have SATA III SSD's at the moment, who are completely unaware that they arent even running them at SATA III speeds...My guess..is MOST of them. Mostly to blame are Marvell and their shitty controller. I have a top of the line board as most of my friends who are gamers, and no one I know yet has been able to use? the actual SATA 6GB/s port with any success. Even after driver installation and troubleshooting. Linus, would love some hints :) Great work buddy

Well looking at that I must say I wont be rushing out to buy one of these overpriced drives. My C300 64GB = £70 Seq read 358 Seq write 77.27, 512k 330.9 read 77.49 write, 4k 32.69 read 69.63 write, 4k QD32 230.5 read 80.32 write A lot of the c300 scores knock spots off your Intel drive and under a third of the price, I cant see Intel selling many till they bring the price down. The C300 is better at the 4k random tests, both reads and writes where it matters? most....
