Except that e-cigarettes are not marketed toward people who don't already smoke. Find me ONE instance where they have been. The government is trying to shut down e-cig sales entirely. The tobacco companies currently have no vested interest in e-cigs and would surely like their sales shut down as well (until they have their own version), and e-cigs have nothing to do with the Big Pharma either. The gov't wants them gone because they DON'T make money off of them.

loincloth200 and dropmurphy, The electronic cig I tried WAS SmokeStik. Jury is still out on these products, and we know that nicotine is still harmful, no matter how it is ingested. If these products "work" for you, more power to you. I continue to think that the tobacco industry, the electronic cig. industry and the government are in this to get as many people addicted as possible so they can make as much $ as possible. I've nothing more to "say" on this.

tantepie, you've tried the electronic cigarette and you've determined that they are still dangerous based on what? Did you have some sort of health issues that arose suddenly after trying them? No? That's what I thought. Of course inhaling anything but the cleanest of air (which, in hospitals, is cleaned using propylene glycol--the main ingredient in e-cigarette liquid) is not 100% safe, but that doesn't mean e-cigs aren't 1000% safer than cigarettes. I don't want to quit. I want e-cigs.

tantepie. there is no 'smoke' involved in smokestik. The "e-cigarettes" you tried were likely made in China, which have been found to harbor harmful chemicals. Smokestik, however, is made in the United States, and is composed of three things: nicotine, water, and Propylene glycol (ruled safe for consumption by the FDA) I wish you luck on quiting. Hmmm...conflict of interests? Don't be scammed...this is marketing spam! Electronic cigarettes are still dangerous. There is no way to smoke safely. @XiggyZtardust Hey there. Green Smoke is so much better than real cigarettes because it isn't tobacco. I hope it works out for you. I've had mine for about a year and love it!!! To be honest, I'm not too sure about the "cool high" you're looking for. Any puffing requires that you intake lots of oxygen, which can result in a light heady feeling, so that might work. What I can say is Green Smoke still gives you the "burn" feeling of dragging on a cigarette.

I just ordered mine. I got the casual smoker's kit with a short battery, and a ton of refills. I smoke on occasion but it always makes me feel so sick. I think it's the smoke and all of the chemicals. I'm hoping this one will give me the cool high without making me feel sick. Any idea if that could happen or am I just wasting my time?

@andrewjw01 You can think of each cartridge as a pack of cigarettes. If you're smoking almost a pack a day, expect to use a cartridge a day. I find I can have a few puffs and the put away the e-cigarette, instead of having to smoke a whole regular cigarette. This makes them last much longer.

Nicotine is a stimulant that raises blood pressure and it also caused the body to secret cholesterol and fats into the blood thus increasing risk of clots and heart disease. however it is significantly better than tobacco smoke, it is non-carcinogenic, does not cause Lung disease or gum disease. I tried the Blu and it was a total waste of time! Almost no vapor, it sucked. Within 3 days, I bought a Joye 510 model. These e cigs are much, much better. Just look up 510 reviews on YouTube and you'll see. I have nothing to gain here, I just hate to see someone order a POS like this and judge all e cigarettes by it. Also, stay away from mall kiosks. They charge $150 for a starter kit. 510's are $45 - $50 online.

@BeamSurfer I used to smoke real cigs off and on, especially when I had a drink. Even though I was an occasional smoker I still felt like crap the next morning from it. With the e-cigs I don't feel bad, and my lungs have cleared up. All things being equal not using nicotine is best, but for a delivery system that is similiar to smoking I would recommend these. Also Blu gives coupons after a few orders which makes the refills cheaper.

The idea is great but the idk about the presentation. I would not want to vape on a drill! lol. I'm still trying to figure out my ePuffer Micro. I just got it but I find that the amount of vapour smoke produced, rapidly diminishes over a short period of time. I can't tell if I'm using it right. Plus the second battery appears to be faulty. Apart from that I like it a great deal. I just worry about the atomizer burning out too fast too soon.

ePuffer is not a scam, they just heavily backordered on Magnums. It took 3 weeks until I received my order, but after trying EAZE Magnum, all other cheap knockoffs went to the garbage right away. The amount of vapor this thing produced is just great. Another major point when it comes to ecigs is maintenance and ePuffer Magnum is maintenance free device, as each cartridge has fresh atomizer built-in. P.S. I have ordered cartridges last Monday and my order arrived in 4 days.

Exact same thing happened to me. They did respond to emails however. Total delay was about 5 weeks due to what they said was backorder on cartridges. they did throw in an extra 5 pack of cartridges since i complained. So far I have only had 1 regular cigarette after the first day and tomorrow will be 1 week since my last regular smoke

They replied to my first inquiry saying they had a new shipment coming toward the end of march.Tthen my second inqiry on march 31 said my order would ship that day or the follwoing day... I purchased a starter kit from ePuffer for $160. They immediately sent an email claiming that my purchase is back-ordered due to being "out of stock", but their website said they still had 60 units in stock! When I pointed this out I was told they were waiting for a shipment of "new and improved EAZE Magnums" and that their shipment would arrive by Mar 30 2009. He promised my order would shipped right away, but it hasn't yet, and now they seem to be ignoring my emails. This company is CRAP!

Hey Leaford, your reviews are awsome! quick question: I am awaiting my ePuffer EAZE Magnum (used your discount btw!) and I am wondering... would it be possible to get some juice and refill the disposable carts to get more life out of them? Leaford I just received my 2 ease magnum starter kits. When I plugged in batteries for initial charge they were red for a minute or so then turned green. fyi I am using wall charger usb apparently out of stock on both kits. Are they charging even if indicator light is green?

I would love to, Bullken, but the problem is a crappy camera. The only mic is aimed at the cameraman end, so away from the subject, ie. me. No help for it until I can upgrade my equipment. That's the #2 priority for any money I earn from my affiliates, right after #1, buying more e-cigs for review. Number 3 priority is more bird treats for Mike. ;-)

Thank you for the answer. I've did some research myself last week and afterall I don't see any harmful risk (beside allergical irritations) in inhaling PG, even if there are (as far as I can say) only studies with rats and monkeys. Beside PG (which was the main concern, since it is the "basic") it would be interesting to know if there are some studies about flavored cigarettes and the toxicological effects. I've searched for some studies about this topic, but I didn't find some.

Ever stood in a room where a fog machine is pumping fog into the air? If YES, how did you feel after getting an overdose of PG (some use DEG)? What I'm trying to say is that a fog machine is more dangerous than an electronic cigarette with no nicotine in it. Or how about mouthwash and toothpaste? You use those, right? Yep, PG in there too. PG is used in lots of consumer products, cosmetics, dog food, pharmaceuticals (take any meds?), food additives, antibacterial lotions... the list goes on.

I'm not a scientist myself, but one of the major question is how dangerous are the ingredients of the e-cigarettes without nicotine. (Especially flavours and PG). The studies from New Zealand are very interesting, but I would need much more information to smoke even an e-cigarette without nicotine. As an ex-smoker I would really like to do so, but there are negative certainties which prevent me from doing so.

I have been using products from Shawn's store. I was a first time user and after nearly 2 months I have for the most part quit tobacco (still have one every once in awhile). I have purchased extra batteries and atomizers, but I am still using the same 2 batteries and atomizer that I started with. I am rather surprised after almost 2 months the atomizer is still going strong and I have only cleaned the threads off occasionally and blown it out to clean it with tissue once when I changed flavors

the FDA definitely has alternative motives than the care of the public. there are carcinogens found in the ELECTRONIC cigarette, (carcinogens linked to cancer), but whats funny is that this level of carcinogens are extremely low compared to regular cigarettes.. oh thats also not including the 10000 toxic chemicals that regular cigarettes have and e cigarettes do not.

Yes - I thought it was funny how the video turned out to look like an advert, but Chex contacted me asking if they could do a segment on this product! As far as the research goes - it will take awhile, but meantime my athsma is gone since I switched to e-smoking, and the ingredients are not carcinogenic so I figure I'm better off this way than smoking cigarettes. I like the ridiculous argument that it only 'sustains' the addiction... So what? If it's even a fraction as dangerous as tobacco cigarettes, isn't it a step in the right direction? They didn't ban cars when people got thrown out of them in accidents. They made them safer by introducing seatbelts.....sheesh....

its not like hookahs. those dont produce water vapor. hookah actually burns tobacco, its just passing through water. with electronic cigarettes there is a cartridge at the end with water that has nicotine in it and nothing else except maybe some flavoring. that water is vaporized with something called an atomizer

Electronic cigarettes are just like portable hooka's... With both you inhale vaporized water and there are different flavors. The downside to this is they say that with hooka's the nicotine sticks to your lungs because you're inhaling water vapour. This is really bad for you. So, would this not be the same with e-cigs? Hmmm.... I still agree that it must be way safer than normal cigarettes.

i bought one of these and i have to say it is one of the best inventions ever. like smoke that's not bad for you? crazy. The smoke is more like marijuana smoke than cigarette smoke because its thicker. You can obviously feel it doesn't have the same health effect as a real cigarette. All i got to say is this was a genius idea and I will be using it for awhile.

It's an amazing product and truly works. Don't believe anyone else except the safe cig. The other guys told me a bunch of bull about their product, oh the battery lasts 24 hours and the refills are 2 packs. Don't believe them, the safe cig guys are honest about their product and they have a full exchange warranty so I'm not out of my money. Quit smoking with these guys. They are the real deal!!!!

everyone sees nic as addictive but why have i been vaping for almost a year and this is every day, i vape at least 3 sessions a day and when i go to work i can work a 8 1/2 hour shift and not feel the need to vape? I vape 11,18 and up nic e liquids and still never felt a need to vape i simply vape because I like it not need it..is it possible to have gens or something so i cant get addicted? seriously im curious to why i never have that urge, do u have my answer why not? why am i not addicted?

@strangerd4nger I've done more reading the last few days than the 3 days I spent researching e-cigs before my first purchase, and that's saying something! From what I understand, there are EU Directives that deal a lot with medicine regulation and legislation (and separately tobacco products) and the Government want to include e-cigs in their smokefree strategy. It's difficult to incorporate e-cigs as there are only a few claims that can be made that don't class them as "medicines".

@Nicotinejuice The extraction process to include all tobacco alkaloids might be prohibitively expense. It is not something that can be done on kitchen counter. It's difficult chemistry! A chemist I know made some and used me as a guinea pig. He estimated a small vial, if sold commercially, would be $90. Way too expensive. But if it were done in mass production, cost would obviously come down. I hope someone does.

The end caps came off with me as well. I posted a video on ECF about it a fre months ago and got flamed because I actually found something WRONG with vaping with this potential choking problem. Meh. Just don't swallow the end cap, I guess.
