I dont think that there is a huge difference between Canon, Nikon and Sony... Ok. Canon and Nikon do have more lenses, but Sony's also got those Minolta lenses.. and it's always a matter of the person who's working with the camera...you can have a Canon 7d and some people hardly can't take good pictures with it... I dont say that because I have a Sony camera, I say that to stop that people think that Sony DSLR's aren't good, I love my? Sony a350, I would never change to Canikon !

Check out? my fine shots on flickr(flickr does downgrade the quality) flickr (dot) com/photos/ijustboard it has an HD CMOS censor and the shutter is lightning fast. With vegas, you do need to convert the AVCHD (I have FCP so I use log and transfer). The camera takes better shots than those, from my experience at least.

This particular copy was in fantastic condition (and still is!) and that is one of the reasons I purchased it - I paid a bit more for this than? it is probably worth, but I have peace of mind knowing that I could purchase one in a condition that I knew wasn't used in a professional environment. These are professional cameras and therefore many have taken an absolute beating (remember, they were $7k new so amatuers weren't buying them), so buying from a shop can be a huge positive!

it totally depends on your needs! I shoot a D2X as a second body, image quality is just great, yep notorious for noise above 800ISO, but high continuous frame rate! i couldn't shoot the fast moving sports? i shoot with a d7000 or d90, both are mid range domestic (d90 replaced the d80 and the d7000 replaced the d90) ... D3S? if you do actually have one, do you think your a "pro with a big body"?

If you're comparing to a full-frame (35mm sensor) camera, then yes. Basically what it means is that if you take two pictures 1 with t2i, 1 with FF (full frame camera) at the same distance, with 50mm, the t2i would be "zoomed in" compared to the FF picture. So basically, in order to get the same picture on the FF, you would need to use a 80mm. And it is all because? of the sensor size. To find equivalent of a lens on t2i to FF, just multiply the focal length by 1.6

@dombower True? of high ISO NR, but long exp NR does effect the buffer size even at very fast shutter speeds (no idea why). JPEG compression makes a slight difference to. You must have a setting somewhere that is slowing it down, but if D-Lighting was off ive no idea what the problem is.. My D700 can shoot 100 shots @ 8fps in JPEG Large-Fine no problem. Was it rented? maybe they modified it so you didnt wear the shutter out :P lol

high iso noise reduction or long noise reduction dont kick in if? you are shooting below 800iso, and i turned off the d lighting.. will have to try out the new nikon d7000 soon to see how well that copes

@dombower Hi Dom, the reason you were filling the buffer is because you will have had Active D-Lighting, Long Exp NR and High ISO NR enabled (or at least some of them). With all of those on I only get? 13 shots @ 8fps before the buffer is full. With them all off, it will hit the 100 image limiter without slowing at all.

Who ever is interested in "packet" HD cameras the 1st thing on their minds should be the size. The mino is the sleekest and smallest of all 3!I have a regular hd handy cam, but if I want to capture a dude picking his nose, or a brawl in hollywood, then I would just pull out the mino out my back packet. All the rest were WAY too big, might as well get a handy cam! I would not get the kodak for 3 reasons. 1st, way to bulking for my taste. 2nd, it takes AA batteries! 3rd,? it only comes with 512mb

I bought the Flip, didn't like the video quality, took it back, got the Kodak, and love it. Video on the Kodak is 5x? better for me.

I am thinking of getting this camera as my first DSLR. Currently i use a panasonic tz7 and have used my friends tz10 before when going on holiday (manual controls on tz10) I am looking for a camera which is good for landscape photography and is still not massive to carry around and? is not to heavy. Would you recommend this camera for my style of photography? I am annoyed at the lack of control on my tz7. I would buy it with a 14-42mm lens, perhaps also a 40-150 mm lens as well.

No, almost no camera does that, when you press down the button, it needs to autofocus first, and then take the picture, unless you prefocus first. This does not take video. I don't think any of Olympus's 4/3rd Evolt series records videos. If you? want video, look for the micro 4/3rd such as the Olympus E-PL1. I suggest you wait till September, as that is when Photokina (camera expo) will be held.

Sony uses there own format for 2 reasons: 1, being a basterd by forcing people, 2: the quality of a MS-duo cards are very fast 20MB/s while a normal SD card does 6MB/s and that's a big difference. If you want a same speed memory, A SD card would cost ?42 and MSDP ?50 (both 16GB). Ok it costs a bit more and yes sony may switch but with MS you know you have good quality memory and I? don't want crappy memory (because than you won't be able to take full HD video's).
