I bought the volcano Ecig and the cartomizers are completely metal, plus the hole on the inside is lined with mesh. I don't know about any other brands yet but this has been pretty good.? Don't know if that helps... lol

I boiled my V2 cartos like you said, 15 minutes in boiling water, let dry overnight, but in the morning the batting was soaked, and it looks like pieces of the plastic tubing are burned when I pulled the sodden mess? out. Personally, I'm throwing these away. Don't want to be vaping pieces of plastic. But it got me to wondering about cartos in general. They all have the plastic tubing down inside, right? And this comes in contact with the atomizer? I don't want to be atomizing plastic, personally.

I tried boiling my cartos (510's), and et them sit or a good six, seven hours .. They looked completely brand new, but when I refilled one to test it out, I get that burnt flavor .. even though the polyfill is wet, and there is little to no? vapor. Did I do something wrong?

Thanks! I bought an Apollo e-cig set (which I love), and am a "newbie" to vaping. I've been looking for a way to clean cartos and found your video. Can't wait to try cleaning them. I've used a? different condom method to fill them. Fill the plastic tip (the one without the nubbie thing inside) about 1/2 way full and slowly push carto (white end) into the condom. Then do the "taryn" spin (look that up). It works great. Thanks again!

I haven't had that experience. But keeping the carto wet? will prevent that burnt taste. You may need to refill them a bit more often.

Thanks for all your information about everything on e-cigs, cartomizers, and all your videos. Helped me out, and led me to some great dealers and liquid vendors. One thing I wanted to ask about cartomizers...I'm not sure why, but with certain liquids, I would put the liquid in, and it would taste burnt when I vaped. I finally found out that certain liquids take a little bit longer for the entire carto to be absorbed. For some reason, it's the one's that are colored. Any clue? as to why? Thx!

Clean it if it doesn't preform well or if it has a flavor you want to get rid of. Im not a big fan? of cleaning attomizers or carts. It can be done, but I usually never do it. I think it shortens the life of the cart or carto. Regular cleaning is not needed.

To be honest...it's been a loooong time...probably 10 years since I had an MCD. From what I do remember they were kinda mellow, I could be wrong but that's how I remember them. Out of the 4 here I'd say the camel. Out of all e-liquids available I'd say watch some other reviews out there and look for something peppery, medium in flavor,? with a solid throat hit. @ufoslut Thank you very much, those are still some great tobacco flavors..still like them to this day...many come close but you're not burning? anything and there's a lot less chemicals...it's funny how our brains tell us cigs taste great when they are providing us our nic...most times tobacco vapes taste like tobacco smells if that makes sense. Hopefully you can find something you father takes to...try ordering a couple of the smaller 5ml bottles..see what types of flavors he likes.

Camel by far tops Virginia and Tobacco? in my opinion. I found Virginia to be too sweet and light on the throat hit and Tobacco was just disgusting. It tasted very oily and way lighter on the throat hit than Virginia. I love Camel though, it's definitely my go-to guy and I tend to vape a 30ml bottle in the span of 3-4 weeks.

Ya man I quit in Apr 09 and about a month ago I was messing around with my buddy and we were? at one of those restaurant that have the outdoor area where you can smoke, and i was drinking, and feeling pretty good, and I reached over and grabbed his smokes and took one and lit it up, and about 2 weeks after that I grabbed one from a coworker, and after that BAAM, pack a day! Make sure you are backing the set screws out far enough. In the video I stated 1/2 turn, I said this folks would not back them all the way out and lose them :). One other thing to point out, when re inserting the contact, push on the steel piece of the contact with your allen wrench. Some folks have tried to push against? the pin which resulted in the "bobble head" effect.

@Bobeba80 You know when it's ready when the chocolate has firmed up enough to "scrape" out a "cigarette". Tempered chocolate takes a few minutes to set up completely, but you want to make these before that happens. Or they will not "curl". i just got my ego t from altsmoke and my final decision on it was very much influenced? by you. it is by far the best e cig i have ever vaped on. it is very easy to maintain and alot easier than constantly dripping juice into the atomizer. my only question is what juice would you recommend for the best taste and vapor quality?

Just a? Q. I've got a fairly new ego-t type b atomizer. It's less than a week old. I've managed to get a clog. I've done a soak in isopropyl 91% and I've also blown through it while the wick and heating element were still wet with alcohol, hoping to work out whatever's clogged. It didn't work. Trying to blow through it is very difficult. Drying out and rewicking and vaping again has be back at square 1, having to suck extraordinarily hard to get a decent pull of vapor. What can i do?

I use the alcohol myself and water rinse...I dry burn them to get some of the crude off em. When I first did this to my 510's, the paint peeled off the atty also, but no harm done, just a nice stainless look. Hasn't? happened with any of my Ego atty's, but most are stainless to begin with...I've even tried oven cleaner, which I read about in a forum. Works, but nuttin' to write home about. It's the burnt residue that's hard to clean from the filament...Good Luck!..

I have a nebulizer treatment machine so I thought hey why not try blowing it out that way. Yep it works.? heck an old fish tank air pump with tubing would work. Could I use a well suctioned vacuum cleaner on the atomizers if I want them to dry quicker? I tried that? after washing with alcohol and water and got some decent results but ive yet to compare it to a new atty.

You've got a lemon then,? or just some thing _not from Joyetec_. I'm so confident with the eGo-T atomizer that I have right now, I soak it in alcohol for about 1 hour and then boil it in water 2 times, each one approximately 10 minutes. It is the only way to get it completely clean (it still smells juicy even after that alcohol and first boil) If you want me to, I'll show you actual pictures of that atomizer: the black rubber is intact -even the eGo-T white logo!

not true about the peeling. I keep mine in a cloth pocket in my bag & the black is coming off too. Looks as if it has been rolling around on rocks!! It still vapes, so I am? happy!!

Thank you for posting this video. I suspected that this would be the best method and you seem to really know what you're doing. I've tried cleaning my atomizers with alcohol in the past and it definitely helped.? I don't think I left it in the alcohol for long enough so I will try this again. I'll comment on my results. I did this to the exact t of this video and both of? my atomizers are dead, I am so disappointed and I still don't know how to properly clean these atomizers, I am sticking to my 306 direct drip, to hell with these tank atomizers.

@cozzcon I do use? alcohol too and I had no problems with both atomizers from joyetec. I think our friend @bib18784 is talking BS or just got a weird lemon. This thing wont peel -even intentionally- without some effort on your side...
