and African Americans wouldn't of been making Techno if it wasn't for Europeans creation of Electro... and i loved your comment about 'syncopation not being something Europe does best' when in fact centuries old European marching bands were built on (and still operate on) a platform of syncopated rhythm. Syncopated rhythm is and was practised by ALL cultures at ALL times of history. Syncopated rhythm is probably the founding principal of music and goes way way back into the mists of time. ?

Europeans wouldn't be making disco if it wasn't for african american made soul and funk so if you wanna take it back we can take it back. The chugging beat loved by purists is that off the disco underground Patrick Adams, Van Mcoy, Bohannon etc. Sure Cerrone and Moroder Soccio were played too. But typical house contained syncopated rhythm and this is not something that europe does best. Its jazz and our? struggle that makes this music what it is. Never recreated with complete accuracy.

House music didn't begin in Chicago, it began in Europe a few years before. The clubs of Chicago/Detroit/New York rang out to the sounds of European imports at the time and so of course your artist began to imitate the sound of the Electronic New Wave movement coming out of Europe. Its only natural. but quite how this myth - that Chicago invented the house sound - began is beyond me but i guess that people will believe anything if its repeated? often enough.
