My new multifunctional printer hates me. Anyone know how to fix this? I've tried moving the paper guide all the way to the left, but it does not help. The paper is perfectly good and the setting is correct on the printer. It just does not feed the paper, and if it did, the paper would be garbled in the end.

Whoa? man, Thank so much for posting this. I worked on that damned printer for 4-5 hours until I finally found this. I couldn't find a piece of cardboard thin enough to go thru the rollers, so I used a piece of photo paper and.... SCHBAM!!!! out came a hair clip that my cat knocked into the printer a while back. Now I can chill and print these tickets that I need!!! Thanks again!

Thank you. This helped me a lot.My printer was working fine last week and then today it wont print but ate the papers instead. I wasted a lot of papers so I finally googled and found your video and read the comments. I tried one last time and I pulled the? paper real hard and I found out there was a piece of earring stuck inside. I am so glad it is fixed now because I didnt really want to buy another as I just installed new inks.

Problem Resolved..!! I tried the following steps : 1) I Cut a side of a manilla folder into a 8.5"x11"? and let the printer try to grab it during a copy.I Continued pushing it through. A piece of paper came out of? the feeder. (which fell somewhere inside the priner) 2) I used a Vacuum cleaner? to remove the paper After? the above 2 steps I tested it. There was slight improvement but it did'nt feed paper correctly. Finally, I Shook my printer upside down and then tested the printer. IT WORKED..!!

Well now I can see why I can't add ink to mine. At 0:43 I? can clearly see plastic pieces separating B from C that the ink cartridge snaps into. My printer is missing those! So I'm supposed to just put the cartridge into empy space and have it be held there by nothing! WTF!

Changing the ink cartridge of my Canon printer. As you can see the lights blink when the ink runs out. The light also blinks slowly if the ink is low. These are compatible ink cartridge which I bought in a package of 12 because $14 each cartridge can get expensive especially with 5 ink cartridges...

Even if I am really happy with my Xerox I don't think it is the most economical printer. The quality is pretty amazing especially considering that it is a laser but it might be a bit expensive for work stuff unless quality is what you are after ;). Xerox also has a "super"? version of the phaser 6500 called 6505 I think. Next time I am asking for a printer at work I am going to ask for a 6505 :)

If I remember correctly you can print in grayscale but it will not work if ANY of the ink cartridges are empty. I can't really remember for sure but a little research should to the trick. Anyway I am now the happy owner of a Xerox Phaser 6500 laser printer. I have printed over 300 pages loaded with graphics so far and I am only at 80% on all the toners. The toners ARE expensive but way? cheaper than replacing ink all the time ;) (also the graphics output is amazing (especially for a laser)).

Well I use compatible cartridges so it is cheaper. Yes it would be nice if they had bigger cartridges. I print occasionally 4x6 photo prints for my mom. There is continuous ink I've seen though those void warranty. I? think all inkjet printers have a ink absorbers that may need to be serviced sometime in the lifetime of the printer. Good luck finding a better alternative. I like Canon. It's middle of the line in price for ink with great quality prints.

My cannon printer works well too but it consumes serious amounts of ink and also will not work (without a service) since the wastepad is full. So even if the printer delivers excellent pictures and text documents? it is still a no go since the ink usage is frankly something you can just laugh at. Canons driver and tools are ok and canon usually makes excellent products but ink printers... no way - the ink cartridges should have been at lest 4x larger (each and every one of them).

It has worked well for me. I've had all three common brands, Epson and HP, before though the time between them is a long time. Replaced when broken. Each printer from each manufacturer have their own problems. This printer has given me less problems than others. I print a few. I print more for others really. I like that that it is not an all in one. So replacing it? is easier. I do have a scanner by Canon that I use. The newer models finally have CD printing capability for US customers.

The Canon Pixma IP4600 is a horrible printer. The print quality is fantastic but for each and? every poweron it consumes A LOT of ink. also when replacing ONE cartridge it also consumes A LOT of ink. I don't print much and now after printing about 100-200 pages (during a 2 year period) and after replacing ink cartridges about 4 times the ink absorber is full already. Replacing it costs more than purchasing a new printer. I'm NOT going to buy canon again. At least not without doing proper research

kinda not necessary to make a video of a printer getting a new cartridge although i watched it as i have the exact? same printer, bought it at a bargain price at its time. Too bad pixma (those bastards from canon) have released newer ones that allow you print from specific cartridges. Meaning you can print B&W if you wanted if other coloured ink is empty, but you can't for iP4600. p.s dont' waste money on cartidges just get a refill kit off ebay, got ink and syringe.

I had an Epson with a black, and tricolor cartridge. I would get worried when it thinks the color is low then it runs out when I print a black and white document. With this printer it would give a warning message and just press OK and continue printing. I haven't run? it dry such that lines become visible yet. Also when I change the cartridge it is completely empty. That's good to know you are not wasting ink on bad electronic assumption.

"Even when an ink cartridge is out you can still print using the other colors" Really?? Mine doesn't print anything if even one of the cartridges is out. That's annoying when I want to print a simple B&W document and the cyan cartridge is out. The quality is great but I wish Canon would be a bit more considerate to its customers (then again, it's just a corporation).

Just out of the box was what I hoped you wouldn't say ha. As far as i can remember I've always just used the ink that came with it. With the first few prints I just thought it was getting used to printing with the cartridges but it still happens so maybe it's a fault. I bought this a few months ago but have since only printed text documents and scanned in images. Anytime I try to print a picture it comes out in awful quality. The colours are all off, the image comes out much darker and the resolution seems to be lower. Your print looks professional next? to mine so I'm wondering whats wrong. The only thing I can think of is I should buy new ink. What sort do you use in yours? An answer would be greatly appreciated :)

Google "Canon MX410" and then go to the Canon website. If you pick the correct Google search it should take you directly to the product page. If not then just do a search on the Canon website for "MX410". There should be a product overview. Under the product information, there will be a selection for "Drivers & Software". Click? on that and download the drivers & software for your Operating System. Reinstall and hopefully that will fix your problem.

no :-(. the only way to get it to scan to PC is by wired connection (usb). the only way for me (at the time) was downloading an app on my ios (dont know if there's one for android) called "Canon iEPP". which is the same app i used to scan to ios and to print from ios. I place the paper? on the scanner. go on the app. touch scan setting, set it up and touch scan. then once im done scaning (1 or more) i email myself or save it to "Photo Albums" connect it to my PC and take it off that way

do you know how to get the scanner to scan to PC?. i have mine set up wirelessly. i can print from PC, scan & print, scan to ios, ios to print. both printer and PC keep giving me error message (different code, same description) the printer gives me E-3-1 (PC: 8,202,5). i looked it up? and it says that the printer is not connected to PC. i still get the same error code even if i switch it to wired (i even uninstall-reinstall the software too and that did not work). any ideas how to fix this?

I had to remove the security on my wireless router, then allow the printer to? setup, over the cable provided with the printer, without any wireless security. once complete then re-setup a second time with Wireless security. Hope this helps

Yes, it does scan documents and saves it to your computer wirelessly as either PDF or JPG files and it also makes copies like a good old 'xerox' machine. Needless to say, it functions as a printer? as well. Hope that helps.

yeah, thanks, but I just worked it out. My Dlink Router would NOT allow the printer to be setup until I removed the WIFI security code. Once setup, I then had to re-setup? again WITH the WPA2 security code - dumb router! I love my MP495, only $50 and prints great! probably heavy on ink but I use it rarely.

Well I followed the instruction manual page by page. I think the key is? to connect the USB connector cord at the right time (when the manual asks you to), not early nor late. Hope this helps

I have one as well as the older ip4500 the 4700 prints Photos very well equal to the ip4500 which is excellent quality and from 5 inks. The build is lighter than the ip4500 and uses a metal edge for carriage guide the? ip4500 uses a massive polished rod. That said its a great printer easy to refill too DVD WEB Photos it handles them all

This is an amazing printer! I love mine, especially when you buy the auto reset refillable and bulk ink, I spent about 100$ on this and I can print for a life time, problem is my US ver did not come with a Tray G so I can't print cds yet, even though I changed it to a? Euro Model, I'm disappointed I want to find out how I can get a tray g.

It's insane that Ink prices are so expensive that people with high printing needs, have to create their own Franken-Printer? in order to get decent priced prints :( Instead of doing this trick to a Canon printer... wouldn't it be easier to create a CISS system on the newer HP printers that contain its own CISS system... then simply upgrade the ink tanks ? (this implies that you are OK with HP printing quality of cause)

Hi thanks for your comment - that would not work - the inkline is attached to the underside of the lid - if you were to fully close? the lid the inkline would drop further into the printer and drag on the bottom plate regards cityinkexpress
