The blocks in Magnet Man's level aren't really that bad,? and this is coming from someone who is terrible at them. You just have to time it so you jump on the block and immediately jump to the next one. The fans wont have much effect then. There are far worse block "puzzles" in other MM games.

Nice review. Yeah I'm 2 years late. Now for some additional comments... 1) Nintendo Power said to beat Magnet Man first. He does only take 14 hits from the buster, and he has the easiest disappearing platforms I believe of any game. Even if not, you just super jump out of the pit (hurray in game cheats!) Never tried Top Man first. 2) Search Snake Quick Man, more hits but less of a pain when you miss. Also, he's bigger as? Doc Robot/Doku Robot, making him harder to avoid even with a slide!

Actually it is important to? know for the review. I've seen people hate on Mega Man games because they just never seemed to choose a good order of stage completion. It would make the game too hard and frustrating, or force backtracking in later games with items you could find.

if u take suggestions, i have yet to see anyone review shatterhand, i remember LOVING that game, getting the 3 letter combos to summon a? little helper, and since there are a 2 letter a's and two letter bs, the mix nd matching them with the 3 slots u had made for quite a few usful and oeringinal hellpers, and all the main char hand was his fist, but punchin bullets was so bad ass...its deff a overloked gem of the nes games

I had the Game Boy version of this game. For some reason a lousy cheapskate family member gave the Spanish version of the game to my brother. We always thought his intro ("¡Soy Darkwing Duck!") was hilarious. I had no idea at the time that it was Spanish, I just assumed it was gibberish. I agree about the Cape Defend and Platform Hanging abilities. Those two features really made the game for me. And SUPERB music as well. I still hum it pretty frequently today? ;)

one of my favorite games as a kid, though I could never get past the first few? levels at that time. nice review! and yeah, the mole (I forget his name) was a real pain. Personally my only gripe with this game is no Nega Duck. Seriously, he was the best villain on the show! He would have made a great end boss.

I love this game! Always liked it better than Zelda as a kid. You get to level up, and you get so many spells and items that actually are useful. Specific armor and items for protection? against flame/poison/etc. It really is a deep game.

Guude here are some spoilers: Warp boots are a single use teleport that takes you to any town you have been to. In the first town (Leaf) go in the top right house to get some money. (May be missable.) Leave Leaf and go into the left cave. You will get a magic spell after the Windmill Key is used. To kill the first boss just stab him a few times. Do not charge up as this will let the bats he makes /? summons hit you.

PSN downloads of this really cool SHMUP called OmegaWing by Capcom, and also that Arcade one where you fight a big enemy ship at the end, and then it transforms into this Alien Megazord thing that spams bullets at you.
