@DISBELIEFOFBEAUTY Apologies for the very late reply. I can't see why not that the lens you have? will be bad. Being a 28mm you will be able to get a wide picture compared to the 50mm and you will be able to zoom where as the 50mm I have is primed.

Not a stupid question cos I am not really sure why as well. May be it's just me and a couple others who also has the 50mm. Yes it would be cheaper but the 50mm? that is in the video is a primed lens therefore you won't be able to zoom.

I cannot see why the quality of the image will? be affected. Only difference is that the lens is a bit bigger and you will be able to zoom more with the 55-135mm. Then again, I am an amateur.

wow!!...it simply amazes me seeing the way you were handling that camera...i wonder if its ur own or u borrowed it from someone just? to do the review... its a DSLR and pretty decent one too...at least show some respect to that man..i wudn't let the memory card launch like that from even my cheap point n shoot camera...let alone the DSLR! plus pulling the lens in and out from the front piece!! too gory i wud say!

You can do close photo's with the 18-135mm however in relation to wildlife, I think a much higher focal length would be? better, saves you physically moving closer to the subject.

his answer was correct. you can get just the body, body+ 18-55, body+ 18-135 or body + 18-55 and 55-250. I recommend the 18-135 you wont have to change lenses between pictures. For example youre on a cliff you take a pick of the view with a 18mm then you see a hawk, you wont have to change the lens to zoom in closer. I also reccommend buying a lens and the body because its cheaper, than buying the lens alone. the 50mm i heard is really good for video. but of course suffers in the zomm?

If you look around there are options to buy the 550 with different lenses but the common ones? are 18-135 and 18-55 (I'm sure someone will correct me). The 50mm that I bought cost me around £80. In reference to your question, which one to take, it would be the 18-135 as you will have the ability to zoom in/out. The 50mm is a prime lens so you won't have to freeness. However, the 50mm is small and compact so I take both when taking my camera.

yep - superior performance to 7D in terms of video? work actually. 1.5 years younger - hi def flex screen + adjustable audio. slightly lightly (almost same form factor), same sensor , just less autofocus points (still 9 , like 5D Mk2), but irrelevant for video.

that has changed - now the 5DMK3 and 60 D are? the top video cameras with canon, and the 7D is downgraded - no PRO manual audio possible as per canon official word (inferior logic board, so no hack even possible). so 60D is above 7D. slightly cheaper, but 2 years ahead in technology.

Stabilization helps to reduce "camera shake" when using slow shutter speeds. When shoting outdoors in good lighting, the camera can acheive a very high shutterspeed which means you? can get a steady shot of most things. You can also increase the ISO to help obtain even faster shutterspeed. Stabilization doesn't do anything for moving subjects but more for blur due to the camera using a slowshutter speed.

I have not notied any audio issues when recording with F550EXR. As for editing, the camera records with H.264 compression as an .MOV file. You should be? able to use Windows Movie maker.

Thanks for the review. I have an F300EXR and am thinking of upgrading to the F550EXR. However I have noticed a problem with the? F300EXR - the sound drops out when videoing, even though the zoom is not being used. Have you any experience of this and does it occur with the F550EXR ? Also, can I use Windows Movie Maker to process videos shot on the F550 ?, as the F300 allows me to do this. Thank you.

I bought a Kodak about 18 months ago that had HD, lovely quality but I couldn't find a way to override the focus hunting, drove me nuts and I took it back to the store, very little manual control. The GH1 looks to be better than the GF1,? on low light and def, though pricy. Have you compared it to a camcorder?

There is no mic socket. Focus was on auto, but you can? minimise focus hunt by moving the AF sensor to a stationary area of the subject or switch to manual focus.

Pretty decent quality from a stills camera I have to agree but what was going on with the focus, was? it on auto and hunting and, if so, can I override that? I need to check and see if the GF1 has a mic socket. Footage that I have seen of the GF1 elsewhere looked fractionally jerky in movement.

15mm may be wider than 24mm? if ur have a crop sensor camera. but this 24-105 is actually intended for a full frame sensor. But still can be used on a crop.So 15mm is equivalent to 24mm on a full frame sensor. So they will have the same field of view,15mm on a crop=24mm on a full frame. Cheers!

It's awesome lens, what a pity that Sony version doesn't have VC - you have leading-class VC while? Sony build-in SSS doesn't work well with super-telephoto so it'd be awesome to have it build in.... but no, you sell it for the same price as VC version while taking off part of it. Uuhhh.... come on! Or sale it cheaper OR give us the VC!!! Currently this issue is the only thing that holds me from getting the lens and makes me much closer to buying Sigma 70-300 OS (see?They can add stabilization!)
