Hi Scott - I recently got one of these Giantomizers from VaperCon 2011, and at first it was working great, but I've noticed since then, the unit leaks at the bottom of? the unit after sitting around a while. It also seems to leak at the "windows" of the unit as well. Have you (or anyone else) experience the same issues? Aside from that, I think it works pretty well. Thanks.

hi mate, I've never seen or tried a MAP tank so unfortunately i can't really advise as to what may be causing the airflow issue :( i use my Provari with an ARRY tank which i believe is similar to the MAP and i don't have any problems at all....only thing i can suggest is maybe purchasing a 510 - 510 adapter to use with it which would allow the MAP to? be seated a bit further away from the Provari end cap? cheers scott

After I made that comment I found a Russian video showing how to refill using a syringe. There are two VERY tiny holes that I actually hadn't even noticed because they are so small. Completely agree with? Scott here. When they work (which sadly isn't often) they are pretty cool, but the amount of messing about, horrible dry burnt taste and endless wicking issues means I'd really not bother with these guys. The standard XL clearomizers are far better, even if they are, not without their own issues unfortunately.

Now that's eerie advice - I ordered ten Boge just yesterday using the discount code on your site. I got the 3ohm ones for vaping at 6v though. I haven't had a lot of luck with LR atties, I ordered five when they first came out and they lasted about? a fortnight on my screwdriver. Cheers for the advice though, if the Boge are OK I might give the LR version a bash. Right, I'll get back to your vids, that Provari is looking mighty tempting ;)

hi mate, definitely do not use these at 6v..........they struggle to wick properly at a standard 3.7v so they would have no chance at 6v, lol personally mate, i would recommend using a standard 3.7v battery in your Prodigy and then use it combined with a Boge Low Resistance cartomiser.......ive reviewed those cartomisers so check that vid out! :D low resistance (known as "LR") atomisers / cartomisers produce just? as much vapour / throat hit as 6v vaping but keep all the flavour ;)

I stopped keeping up with the ecig world for a couple? of years - wow things have moved on! I'm watching your videos to catch up, a lot to take in. I'm still using a prodigy v1 at 6v, I watched your video on cartomisers and noticed you advised against them for HV vaping. I thought that these giantomisers looked like the thing - would you recommend them for that and could I used one with a 510 thread Prodigy (some sort of adaptor maybe?!) Watch the Odysseus reveiw now, but the BIG thing with the AVA atty made be Apex is the medical grade cermic piece that is over the High grade wire coil. Scott no BS here man the TASTE is unbeliveable due to no wick type material(ceramic instesd) allways taste clean and pure. Even that first morning hit after the atty has sat all night is 100% pure. Also Scott I watched your Provari reveiw and like the first one you had others have had the same problem with the circuit board that controls the voltage.. i either will use 3.7 volt with a LR 510 atty or 6 volts with a standard 510 atty. As far as a Alpha I like them tarnished better anyway... I noticed you talking about a burnt atty taste--NEVER do you get that with $40 AVA attys and they hit hard every time,,, I want you to experiance? one. Mine us 3= weeks old now and is better than new.

Ultramax that way I could stack the RCR 123a battery for a 6 volt vape, The reason I dont want a Provari is Ive been using a Provape1 for almost 2 years now and it has been flawless, they even up-graded it ti the Provape1 V2.1(with Stainless top and bottom caps) Great 3.7 device loohs to much like my Provape1 and I want a diffrent look in a mod.

hi mate, i personally like the UltraMax and enjoyed using them, but i do know that some people struggled with the sliding switch if they had greasy fingers and they do need polishing often as they tarnish quite quickly.....though i think the tarnished look is actually pretty cool! (it goes? a gun metal colour when tarnished) but personally i would recommend going for the next step up from a 3.7v device now and take a look at the Provari.....check out my review :) cheers scott

Its like comparing a 4 cilinder engine that blows smoke(taste bad) to an 8 cylinder superchared engine that burns clean(taste great) even after 3 weeks of heavy vaping. You must try the AVA attys that Innovapor sells USA made and have no bridge or wicking material that can develop a off taste. Pure and clean TASTE. Use a ceramic incased special wire coil.They? hit like a monster every time unlike Joyes that are on and off. They cost $40 with the discount and are worth more than that. That good!! thanks for another excellent review. ive found with my 510 i like the shorter batteries ( yep even 1-2mm about 30 mah) and how much lighter it is. ( i drop it FAR less believe it or not ) enough so that i? do not really mind any extra charging i might encounter. if you are out and about its the way to go

A magnificent mod, I have one in aluminium and I love it... Practically does as much as the legendary GGTS, but does it better IMHO... Plenty of spares always in stock, and I added? a 901 adapter & head cap to mine... It's like having four different mods in one... The next plan is to get an extra bottom tube & switch assembly, for even greater flexibility... A great piece of kit and well affordable in aluminium... :¬)

On my Don to adjust the screw on the bottom i find it easier to put the button on the lock position and screwing it while the button is pressed until it fires. Then i just unscrew a bit so it won't fire, put it on the unlock position and it's working on the best? way for me. The button seems to be more sensitive this way and it won't fire in the pocket.

I have a gen1 Janty Stick I bought in 2009, and it still works great (less the crappy snap-type switch) and am about to start using it again after a year back on the friggin cancer sticks. (I couldn't find the "right tasting juice"). :( PG base juice kills my throat...I'm about to receive VG "Tundra" from? Johnson Creek. I can not tell you if the holes on the carto are too deep because i do not make the holes myself, a friend of mine did them because he have the carto puncher, i spoke with him 30' ago and told me that i should fill the tank, screw the upper cup a little and turn it over so the air will now compress the liquid to the holes, but i think that somewhere must the air go. when is time to refill it again i will record it and upload it on? youtube so you can saw it and tell me what i do wrong

hi mate, im wondering if you are punching the hole too deep and rupturing the tube that runs through the centre of the cartomiser? that would cause juice to enter the central tube and then run out of the 510 connector :( i can't really think of any logical reason why removing the drip tip would cause? juice to leak from there? :( cheers scott

hi mate, cartomisers tend to last longer when used in a tank system and i find that i can? go about 7 days before needing to replace them.......other people report only needing to change the cartomiser every 2 weeks though :) cheers scott

hi mate, yes, you can get a separate atomiser / cartridge combo that is a? 901, but personally i would stick with the cartomisers which i prefer the old style 808's i was never really impressed with, but the new style ones that come with kits like "The Volt" are fantastic and produce excellent vapour! but the 901 cartomisers that came with this Vgo kit were equally impressive...cartomisers are fairly cheap to purchase, so get some of each and see what you prefer :) cheers scott

From what I understand, the ego shutoff (5 click) is being applied to ALL ego batteries now, and I can? confirm that my recent ego purchase from altsmoke.com does in fact have this, and they are just the basic 650 mah types. :-) p.s. the feature is awesome from a pocket happy point-o-view. :-)
