You do not just have to use Motion 5 to ... Posted by: davidgvideo
Video duration: 786 seconds Global video hits: 4253 You do not just have to use Motion 5 to make obvious changes. How many times have you taken some footage with a hand-held camera and wished you had taken the extra time to set up a tripod? I have personally done it a lot. Motion 5 can stabilise footage by tracking one or two points that you nominate and removing the shake. This video shows you how to do that... why wont this work? the tracking went fine and the trackers follow their points but it didn't move the? footage at all. all it did was zoom it in.

how do? u get rid of those lines that got cut out and the tracking lines?
By: boringperson17. on 27 Nov 11, 19:08:09
do you have to put the crosshairs for the tracking in a certain place or just any vertical? or horizontal line?

I have a suggestion to try. You might cut the video into pieces, stabilize them separately, and? then zoom them to match each other. Trackers on the right as obstruction gets part way into the frame, trackers on either side as obstruction's in the middle, and then trackers on the left as obstruction reaches the right side of the frame (Assuming obstruction passing from left to right). Or for a panned shot, split as 1/2-2/3 of the frame disappears, keep splitting as appropriate.

Awesome tutorial! For some stuff that I am working on, I am running into the problem you mentioned about having a tracker be totally visible throughout the? entire shot (I am using it for motion tracking/match move purposes). Is it possible to use multiple trackers to counteract one getting lost at some point? Or are you able to analyze the shot with one tracker starting at the beginning and a second tracker starting half way through the shot? Hope this made sense! THANKS FOR THE TUTORIALS! :)
