Does it matter? Is that what your "No it's not'" comment was in reply to. Everybody I know in Australia pronounces it the way it is in this video. But as Kel Richards says on ABC Local Radio on his language segment each Tuesday at 21:30; "pronunciation is not all that important; the use of language is all about being understood". That is, people understanding what you mean. It's a non-issue.

What would it matter if he didn't pronounce it correctly? (He does; it's the way me and just about everybody else I know in Australia does). The French and the Dutch don't pronounce Australia or America correctly, and how the natives of both countries do. The Germans can't say Scheveningen, a beach at Den Haag, which Australians and the rest of the English speaking world pronounce as The Hague. So you really can't say there's a definitive way of pronouncing anything.
