i really like that you seem to be on lookout for new music to dig into. when you enjoy radiohead it`s (in my? opinion) obvious that you have an ear for good music. i`m just gonna list some good albums for you to check out; what they have in common with radiohead is that it`s all good music made by real musicians. i try to keep in mind that taste? in music is a personal thing and even if it`s sometimes very hard i always try to respect other peoples music of choice. here is my suggestions for you

radiohead sounds very different from one album to the next, and their sound is quite unique.as you said yourself; a hint of coldplay,a little similiar to muse etc etc.assuming that it is the vocals you are reffering to? It`s hard to give any recommedations without knowing what you like about radiohead; is it the distinct high pitched vocals? the variety of genre?? the melancoly (from amnesiac, king of limbs and kid a) or is it the killer genius songs like paranoid android (my personal favourite)

Pablo Honey is possibly worth starting with but it's them finding their feet. The Bends onwards is magic. This? album makes a lot more sense once you've listened to their older stuff and how they've evolved. I'd recommend listening chronologically; The Bends, Ok Computer, Kid A,? Amnesiac, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows and this, in that order.

The first four Metallica albums are bonafide metal classics. So is this album too, but unlike the previous four it's a hard rock album? with shorter more radio friendly songs, doesn't make it any less great but definitly not a metal album. The next evolution of Metallica and an awesome one. Classic hard rock album and the last truly great album they released.
