Oh, ur is that other HP, anyway, CQ56 and that hp what u have looks EXACTLY same but CQ56 Just? has an COMPAQ logo. Maybe that explains when i had to switch HDD since it failed i got new from HP the instructions was for both, for that what u have and CQ56.

So thats how my laptop looks inside, i have the same. Do you really have to take so many parts? In my other laptop, 6715s, i only have to remove keyboard, take heatsink? and fan away and disconnect cpu and put a new and then put fan and heatsink back. (I did it when i upgraded Sempron 1-core crap to Turion 2-core in it)

Have you tried running iPC OSX86 Live disc? I also have a Toshiba Satellite laptop with an AMD processor (A215-????) but havent tried running Leopard on it? yet. Also,you could try setting it up on an Intel machine that you know would work,and create a boot 132 disc and do a "vanilla" install.

and one more thing....with sli , you can turn off/disable one card while doing light work on you pc, like office stuff or browsing or stuff like that, and turn them on while gaming. sli is good option if you ask me. and if you go with 560ti, it should last you atleast another 3-4 yrs? for intense gaming. 3d capable too btw.

well what processor will you get? dont get 2600k, get the newer ivy bridge ones...so all your parts are based around the same year, but i would ask you to go for 560ti as it will really good time to buy now...with 2600k or 2500k intel processor, you can get these for a good price..ofcourse 680 is better and energy efficient. but if i were to buy it, i would go with a nice processor so it wont bottleneck? the performance.

Intel i5 vs. AMD A4 Laptop Speed Comparison

Both laptops are very much the same other than the processors, the Intel i5 (Silver Laptop) RRP is about $1000 and the AMD A4 (Black) Laptop is only $500 RRP AMD is always cheaper and better. There is not much diffrence in load times at all and I find the AMD Laptop performs alot better in gaming too.
