As a Muslim, and I read many parts of the bible especially Genesis, Deuteronomy, Isaiah and psalms and the four gospels, I? see the Bible as a historical document that includes a lot of fiction (a lot of it) but for some extent it can give us some details about the life of the ancient people. Yes we don't have any evidence that someone existed, like Moses and Jesus and the main biblical characters, but lack of evidence does not imply that someone doesn't exist. I? see no difference between the claims of Paul about Jesus and spirit and the claims of devotees from other religions. Throughout the ages individuals from all traditions have made claims about divine experiences with spirits. Magic seems like magic until it's methods are revealed. These are not miracles? as scientists are now beginning to understand where in the brain and mind these experiences originate and why they originate.

In other words without the Christian explanation you are left? with a ton of gaps which you can't hope to explain. But don't take my word for it, study it yourself. I promise that if you humbly ask the Lord to help you understand His Word He well help you. I could figure out a few things in the Bible on my own but when you have the Spirit leading you scripture just becomes much clearer. I'll keep you in my prayers.

When he says that he relied on a DEMONSTRATION of the Spirit, that's the miracle. Have you read Case for Christ? It's really great you would probably like it. I was just like you about a year ago. It took a lot of reading for me to come to? faith. Eventually I summed up all the facts I could gather from Josephus, the gospels, the letters etc. on one side and then all of the things that required faith on the other. I realized that if I took away the faith based stuff it simply didn't make sense.

I've studied the religions and myths of the world. There? are key differences in the Gospels compared with any other sacred text. I don't want to write a page about this on YouTube but I recommend reading 1 Corinthians 2:1-5. Keep in mind that it's a letter from Paul to the church in Corinth wherein he writes about the miracle he did when he first met them. It seems like an odd thing to write to a church if you hadn't in fact done it. May the Lord bless you in your walk to Him.

The bible was carefully translated from day one. 6 generations of the Ben Asher family made copies of the bible in the first millennium from the Masoretic Hebrew text & went as far as counting every character in the copies to make sure nothing was changed. When the bible is translated into new languages, the original Hebrew or Greek texts are often used to avoid misinterpreting. Not arguing the bible is more pure, simply that it wasnt changed. I applaud James Randi and his rationality. I would strongly suggest that all religious people respectfully consider his words. Indeed, the known scientific evidence does not disprove the existence of Nazareth it simply suggests that the current location, the tourist sit, is wrong. so God is playing a trick? on us? What's wrong w/ seeing God in front of us, then all of us follow him to heaven? Why would God need to hide just to see if we don't sin then if we don't he'd take us to heaven? Why do we have be tested first just to see if we sin or not? What does God get out of this test or hide & seek game? if God really wants us to be good and go to heaven he should create us all good so after we die we all go to heaven for sure. Why does he have to create evil just to test us?

That's the whole point of free will and faith. If he showed himself and talked to us, EVERYONE would hop on the bandwagon to heaven and eternity and all that good stuff, because come on, no-one wants to burn in the lake of fire. How come God never comes down from his heaven and talk to people on earth DIRECTLY? Why does he always has to only talk through His "prophets" who they all were from the shitty desert 1000s of years ago? Is God shy? Doesn't God like? to talk to His creations (humans) whom He "loves" so much? Doesn't God want to talk to us before burning all of us in his Hell (not in the HELL we call life on earth)?
