I ordered new ones and they snapped/bent also :/ Would jumping the buggy cause this at all? There is? a pathway of monkey grass that I like to jump with the car but it's not a big jump, maybe 1 1/2 feet of air at most and I broke an axle shortly after doing this once.

I was told a higher kv? motor of a given size turns a smaller prop faster and a low kv motor of the same size turns a larger prop slower. A power 60 (60-65) in a 320kv would use a 16x10 E prop efficiently whereas a power 60 motor in a 400 kv would turn a smaller prop faster - say a 13 x 8 prop. If a tree jumps out in front of you the lower kv motor with the larger prop would be better for climbing up and over quickly. However the higher kv motor with a smaller prop flys the same plane faster

me here again are those rare earth? magnets there very powerfull magnets so that will allow a high torque out of this compact motor and this very reliable design shows promise seems low maintenance to me, now if some good reliable powerfull and long lasting batteries are used there is the potential to really start sticking it to the high price of petrolium fuels something has to come along to keep oil companies in line especially avgas too

awsome motor since it is essensially a 3 phase synchronous motor fed by a variable frequency power supply that is controlled by the hall sensors in order for the frequency to be in step with the motor if a load is applied etc i am not an electronics expert but i do understand electric motors i am an electrical thechnician and studieded all kinds of motors however these kind? did not exist hardly when i studied electrical technology back in the late sixties

Oh I can fly that mode and I? can fix it. What I am saying is that they should come with brushless motors now instead of brushed. Brushless motors are not super expensive anymore so they dont have that excuse not to use them on all of their helis - especially for the price they are asking for them compaired to other brands of the same caliber.

I personally solder my esc motor signal wire to the board for linear throttle instead of the plug-n-play version that is full throttle only. I have a v2 but use the tower hobbies motor and esc which works fine with my setup. Haven';t? tried the wow hobbies esc with the v2 so I have no personal knowledge. I hope this answers your question and happy flying!!!

It is the general consensus that the plane is underpowered and Tony suggested that himself at the end of this video. ? The RTF is currently sold out but they still have some ARF models. This looks like an otherwise awesome plane and I will probably purchase one but I am going to put a gyro on board for the aileron when the wings are swept back and HobbyKing currently has 50mm metal alloy (external radius 55mm) EDF units (550g thrust ea) so I will upgrade to that.

I think to have it fly properly with wings wept back you need to mix the elevators to work as elevons. With wings open the surface is much wider for the air to grab the ailerons. Once swept back not only is the actual surface reduce due to sweep but the sweep of the wings causes roll off. So more or less loosing a good 35% of control surface. Using elevons during sweep back or full time would bring back? response. Great video guys

the gearing makes the MOTOR over heat and the esc getting hot is just so much power running through it and it doing so much work? so it you want a 3s dont worry about it getting hot its going to happen with any battery

I use an Accucel6 charger, picked it up on ebay, its an inexpensive charger but does the job, they all seem to be the? same charger with a different name on them anyway unless you get into the high dollar ones. I would go with the Traxxas EZ-Peak Plus though now that they have them.

It was a quick mod I had found here on youtube, I would advise against it though. It offers no suspension at all, the front end just bounces off the ground at high speed. I now have it lowered using the fuel line method on the shocks. Easy, cheap, and effectively lowers the vehicle while maintaining travel in the front? suspension.

As far as the tail holding, if you notice he has a way? bigger tail rotor with much more pitch. The main rotors look to be wood also, so they are probably lighter with less flex. I have the stop mCP x version 2. Its pretty amazing in stock form, but I am no pro r/c pilot nor am I even coming close to these type of moves.

what is going on is you have a propeller that is to big for motor get a smaller prop i recomend you use? a 2-3 inch propeller it will still give lots of thrust my 1 and a half foot jet boat runs of a 20amp esc and a 2200kv motor with a 2 inch prop and it goes around 30-35 mph on a creak going againt the current so that is what i recomend. I have been in the hobby for 2 years and yes my motors do that to it will do the same thing if you hold the motor and turn it on hope that helps

I've not tested brushed motors exposed to salt water. They are used in oil compensated thrusters but I think the stay currents from the exposed brushes would cause problems if exposed. They do work fine when exposed in fresh water. We can rinse the outrunners with fresh water after each use and replace them for $20 when the salt eventually destroys them, but the we never have to worry about a seal leaking or cooling.?

sometimes the strain on the motor makes the ESC quit.. your issue is once your connection between the motor and esc on the wires themselves (about? 3 inches up from the motor) short, then your ESC scrams. insulate your wire connections a bit better and you will do just fine. additionally look at the manual for the ESC, the ESC is using your motor as a speaker, the beep sequence has a specific meaning.

Oh jang I bought one of those esc's a while ago when I was much newer to the hobby, and I ended up getting the wrong amp rating so when i was bored? i hooked up a battery to it and threw it in a glass of water and turned it on, and it worked perfectly i ran it under water and even left it there for an extended period of time and it worked fine :)

Oh yeah the hall sensor might be because when this happened it seemed to be an issue when I plugged the fans leads onto the battery. Honestly its just a 12v fan lol,? I don't know how there was even enough ampage to blow the sensor or the controller when it was brand new. But I am not buying a $50 fan again. I should prob just send it to you and pay you to fix it. lol

hey pcbheaven I have a question. I have a fan kinda expensive shaft fan that just had the brushless motor go bad. Something happened where I believe the wires over crossed polarities or something. Basically when you power it up. The rotor just move? back and forth in a jiggy jag motion and just stays there. If I give it some momentum it will go a little and die out. What happened? Did the coils get messed up and change polarity? Can I fix this? I can't get the part.

this is true to an extent, but these trucks are undergoing changes all the time. redcat has alot of great products right now, that didn't start out so great.. the factory that produces these cars has responded greatly to the peoples feedback. i would NOT trust an early version of any vehicle from these company's, BUT there are good? vehicles to be had from these company's, usually the ones that have been around for awhile and are on there 3 and 4th versions.

Redcat makes a variation of this, i did not experience slow steering or poor handling from mine, also it was MUCH faster than what u see in this video. there is no? plastic on the center drive shaft in the redcat version. also i would like to note that the aftermarket parts do not cost 30 dollars from redcat like said here in this video... I have only broken a bearing carrier 1 time since owning mine.. also i would like to say i did not have binding on the dog bones on the redcat version.

they did change a few things going from the name dynamite to infinitive, the most noticeable is the tires and well my truck at least does? not have such bad dogbone problem, the chassis does bottom when i press down on the truck. So far i have put about 70 packs (stock 3000 mah 7cell) through the truck and i have only broken a rear H-arm. never replaced it though, I just glued it up and kept driving.
