I agree? the rematch was way too early, stupid of EU. You're underrating Collins though man. He was a damned good fighter in his own right. And don't forget that EU had a crazy schedule prior to their 1st fight - It was his 8th fight in a year FFS, 7 of which had gone the distance. And to top things off not only was he facing a heavily fired up Collins in Dublin (on ST. Eubank is one of my very favs but Joe was always wrong for him IMO. He absolutely hated fighting southpaws (he even admitted as much during one of his post-fight interviews) and it was common knowledge that he liked to take breathers and fight at his own pace, which, obviously, Joe is the worst opponent in the? world to fight if you don't like a high pace. lol.

Eubank was past his best but he looked superb against Wharton, the first Collins fight and in both Thompson fights IMO. It's just the 2nd Collins fight he looked crap in and I think that was more to do with the crazy schedule he'd had on his 'World Tour' where he was fighting literally every 2 months. He should've taken a rest after the first Collin's fight, but obviously he was a very proud man? and he wanted his title back and to get revenge over Collins, whom he hated. lol

This showed how good Calzaghe was in my opinion, im like a lot of people who dont particularily like his technique ie slapping and cuffing with his shots instead of punching with a closed fist but he had a lot of hand trouble to be fair so? that might of played a part in him punching like that.He had a very good boxing brain aswell as speed. The reason he says it was his hardest fight was because he was utterly exhausted after 4-5 rounds, which is kind of understandable considering he went hell for leather trying to blast Eubank out of there after dropping him in the first. He'd never even been past 8? rounds before FFS. In fact, he'd only been past 5 twice and that was at domestic level. Eubank had been the full 12 round distance no fewer than 16 times.

His claim to fame is "beating" (43yo Hopkins schooled him) two aging legends in their 40's. He beat an other overrated fighter in Jeff Lacey who obviously got exposed by everyone else and just a win? over a limited fighter in Mikkel Kessler, which we all saw what a real talented fighter Andre Ward did to him. He won't comeback, he knows he truly can't hang in there with talented, skilled fighters in their prime. Never could. Couldn't get fight with 90 year old Jake LaMotta so the coward retired

Ok, Joe doesn't get much credit for beating Jones... not a tough task at that stage in Jones career, but still, the manner in which he did it was a joy to watch and he gets some credit for the performance in? that fight. It was a massively entertaining fight and I honestly don't think the American fight fans give Joe enough credit for his style and skills. It was a bad fight against Hopkins, but that's largely because Hopkins was so negative, dirty and just tried to stop Joe as much as he could.

agreed totally mate! Although? think be beat bhop by 2-3 rounds to be honest, hopkins vs calzaghe at there bests would have been competive, hopkins doesnt exactly have a great record against world class guys who can match him for weight!

I agree Calzaghe donsn't deserve credit for beating a shot Roy Jones, I believe Jones would have pumbled Calzaghe easily in his prime I dont even give him credit for Hopkins? because that fight could have went either way, but its not his fault the Super Middleweight divison was trash when he dominated it, now the Super Middleweight Divison is stacked it was just bad timing.

Its was bad timing for Joe unfortunally he will never get full credit for beating Jones and the super six was a few years? too late, the supermiddle weight divison wasnt as good as it is today.
