Yeah I'm loving phoenix but damn one hyper combo and your pretty much dead. Seth from SF4 has godly vitality compared to her. But I gotta admit? i get a hard on when she comes back as the Dark Phoenix. :)

It's nothing like MvC2, I wouldn't worry about it. It's pretty much Tatsunoko v Capcom on Turbo. It's pretty easy to? pick up, from my experience.
