Great video you guy has such a endearing manner - glad he showed pressure in operation unlike some demos. After marinating the chicken/meat I would give it a quick braise/seal in a hot frypan for a couple of minutes in some cooking oil to stop it looking anaemic and then pop the meat in the pressure cooker? then add the rest of the lovely ingredients suggested and it will be even more blissful...try this method and let me know if it is an improvement!

Actually they aren't selling that model. I probably shouldn't have written this. I do know that NP-GBQ05 is the 220v English model of your? particular rice cooker. Sorry for the typo. They still aren't selling the IH models. The Q models are actually for SE Asia (Hong Kong/Singapore/Malaysia.) Yumasia probably imports the SE Asian models from Japan or Hong Kong.

I'd like a dish bigger than this one, the? smaller ones you could probably pasteurize but doesn't have the ability to really cook. The biggest test on this size I took a frozen slow cooker meal. the label recommends slow cook for 8 hours or minimum 4 if in a rush. The solar cooker overcooked it in 3 and a half hours. A little bigger than this dish I think would be perfect.

I used an 8" chrome decal material, and experienced the same thing. I think a 2-3" strip would work best to prevent bubbles. with snack? packs, maybe 2" x 6" patches would work well. On the wood, this was an experiment and it was a heavy wood, albeit rotting, was what I had nearby. Thicker pan? hmmm, in a windy area may store more cold. not sure on that one.

Yeah the wood I used was just some crap I found kicking around, a wider base would be much better. Bricks might be a requirement in windy areas especially. You might find spreading the focal point too much just warms things rather than being able to bring them to a boil, well at least with this size dish. Focal point? = temperature control perhaps?

Ce que je voulais dire par là c'est que ce jeu de plateforme à été programmé pour tourner sur Commodore 64, il aurait dû donc utilisé une musique 8-bit. Why on earth wouldn't they have shown the results?! I want to see if the risoto stuck to the bottom or not. ALSO, these videos very clearly? state that the timing starts when the yellow button pops up, whereas I'm pretty sure the Fagor instructions say when steam starts to be released from the valve. These are the kind of details that keep me from trying different recipes... I own a Fagor Duo, but use it rarely, because I'm hesitant.

I live near Lake Michigan. I've owned a Fagor for 5 years. There is absolutely no rusting what so ever. 18/10 means 18% chromium/ 10% nickle. If you have a "high grade" stainless steel that's 18/0 (no nickle) it is less corrosive resistent. 18/10 does not "rust" as you think of regular steel rusting with a red oxide on the surface that flakes off. f you see red rust it is probably due to some iron? particles that have contaminated the surface.

Yes you can use running cold water instead of the steam release. It's recommended in their manual to lower the temperature faster for things like vegetables. You don't have to. There is the natural steam release, which is done by taking the cooker off the heat source and letting the? pressure come down naturally. In some recipes, it completes the cooking process. Using the instant steam release depressurizes the cooker very rapidly, allowing you to open the cooker in about a minute.

The difference is worth it. I have had mine since last Fathers day. Don't think of this piece of equipment as a smoker. A smoker will pull moisture out of the meat, and the Orion cooker will keep the meat moist, even if you do smoke it with wood chips. Smoking? is a completely different cooking method. They are similar but not the same. If you are interested in this cooker, don't try and compare it to your smoker. If you do, you will get rid of your smoker!

The only downfall is it takes a lot of fuel(charcoal) 15/18 lbs I think, so this is ideal for big meals, not small ones, if you have? a small family its not the best choice for economy but for whole chickens/turkeys and ribs it is great, much cheaper than frying a turkey and tastes as good and not as bad for your heart I would imagine, I think this will work best with a dry rub on the meats too overall, great product, solid, stainless steel, no rusting, will last forever

Nice - but a bit sloppy - sort of low tech, low tech. I have a similar sized dish. I made my own mirror tiles, etc., etc., etc.... and cardboard catches fire within 2 - 2.5 seconds... You? should have at least flattened out the foil and polished it up a whole heap... Using a black pot - well that is only part of the story. The only bit that OUGHT to be black is the bit that is getting the sun on it.

wow omg I cooked this today. That sauce has amazing deep layers of flavors! But I ended up cooking the roast about 1 hour too long when I cut it, it wanted to be pulled pork. But all in all it was Delicious, that sauce really does take it to the next level of flavor! Thanks Chef John. I strained my sauce too it was nice dark with? lovely shine when I finished.

That was a joke.. i followed this recipe EXACT and it just flat out tasted like shit. Try for yourself and see if you agree... I also followed his chicken parm casserole recipe when he first uploaded it. Chicken was still so raw it was cold in the middle. Had to bake the shit until it was ruined the? get the chicken to cook all the way. Ive had a few of his recipes turn out well.

Thanks - great video of taking the oven door off and putting it back on. We called a? technician as our door would not shut properly at the top - but we didn't watch so we missed it. Talk about fast! The door only stayed sealed for about a week. It would be very helpful if you could show what jiggle room you have with these hinges or how to check that they are OK before I go and get unnecessary replacements or call back the service technician for another 2 minute job.

Snips come in three colors. Yellow snips cut straight. Red snips are rights and cut left. Green snips are lefts and they cut right. The way they are made makes the metal you are cutting rise in a different direction, kind of a little twist if you want to call it that. Take a close look next time you are the hardware store and you'll see the difference. A pair of yellows will work fine for this job. Ps don't cut wire with them or you'll mess them up.? Peace

Great idea and well worth it to have two or three of these suckers. A? little lay out help: To find the circumference of a circle take diameter of circle multiplied by pi (3.14159). Don't forget to add lap. Great stuff on this here computer gadget.
