I guess different folks deal with their service in different ways. 5 of my Uncles served in WWII, and my Father served in Korea, and all of them owned and enjoyed shooting their guns. My Father was a hunter, and enjoyed competition shooting, and I became envolved in both at a very young age, and still enjoy them today. I find it disturbing that folks do not enjoy firearms, and will never understand why they care if I do. PS: I do not have a 44mag on? the table, but I agree!

When I was very young and growing up in Jersey City I used to pester my dad to walk me to the magazine store where I would get Guns and Ammo-not sure why it interested me but my father who served in way too active duty in the Korean War would never allow any guns in our apartment. I have to admit the avalanche of gun videos on YouTube I find disturbing only because? of the obsessiveness of them. PS: I would think the "Dirty Harry" S&W .44 magnum would take care of the Creature.

To me, a firearm is only a small part of my home defense plan. I also include alarm system, two giant breed dogs, lighting, cell? phone, just to name a few. Sarge, my 240lb English Mastiff, is usually pretty good at deciding friend or foe, and if he's barking, then he charging, and that person is not kin or friend. Including a firearm is not overzealous, but it does add options, and great responsibility. If you decide to add a gun to use for defense, then you must seek quality instruction,

Ya'all must live in some problematic areas to think you should shoot someone dead, bleeding all over your house floors until they die. I'm conflicted when it comes to this because you never know who that intruder might be, half awake you might mis-identify him, it could be your cousin. You might not want to live after murdering him, who knows.? Do you? I'm all for self defense, but don't get too overzealous.

I was involved in 1? shooting my entire life while working at my parents store when I was younger before I actually joined the military and I didn't have any training what so ever but was still able to shoot the guy before he shot me. Im not saying most stuff out there is useless but I do believe that alot of it is just to get more people to pay for classes. Im by no means an expert in combat shooting but there are lots of other non-trained people have won without all the arguments and debate.

I was a private security contractor and spent time at Blackwater with REAL com at veterans and SOTIC guys and they teach you isosceles. check out my you tube page if ypu want to see shooting fast and accurately while on the move. until you've been in a hostile environment with ppl that shoot back you dont have a clue when you have, come back and tell me who the "self taught newb" is. Weaver... you're kidding me right? Bwahahahaha! I guess the saying "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" rings true here. Weaver is minimally ok for static shooting slowly. For combat shooting in a dynamic environment weaver is HORRIBLE. Isosceles is where it's at for managing recoil and shooting that allows you to move and shoot. Push pull??? Yeah, I'm going to pull a gun back into it's recoil. How stupid is that?!?!?

I disagree with your multiple shot comment. I believe other things are involved, including when does the life threatening attack stop. You have a right to defend yourself, but you do? not have the right to then become the aggressor and become an attacker. The amount of shots are not as relevant as the circumstances. As far as gun laws, we in VA have some that are over a 100yrs older than the U.S., and were the template that other states used to adopt themselves.
