I agree with you here. I have not have a tobacco cig for 8 days now and counting after 20yrs 2 packs a day, the ecigs are a life saver in my opinion. The only negative to the ecig is that I seem to never put it down, now that I can use it anywhere. Now maybe its just me getting over not smoking a real cigarette, it may not be as bad in weeks to come.

I will tell you what I think - Cigarrette companies are going to lose MILLIONS and those shareholders of tobacco corps. are going to lose MILLIONS. E-Cigs are probably a lot safer than ordinary smokes but there is controversy because people in high places like FDA for instance - who may or may not have shares in tobacco corps. - who can afford to have lots of shares in tobacco companies, are going to lose so much money so they will try to ban it wether it is harmful or not.

@TehGamingGuru Well, I guess the point is to prevent younger people from becoming tobacco smokers (though I don't know anyone who has rejected ecigarette in favor of regular smokes) and nicotine probably effects youngsters more than adult body. Research also shows that teens between 13 and 17 years of age who smoke daily are more likely to use other drug substances. Yet, I would still have my kid rather try an electronic cigarette than the regular tobacco cigarette (if I had to choose).

The price on quit smoking products is twice that of the actual tobacco products. I started to make my own smokes a few years ago. I love how nobody seems to understand that the nicotine isn't the main problem. It's the tar and the other harmful chemicals. No, it's not. It's just nicotine, flavorings (if any), and propylene glycol to get it the smoke effect (they use it in fog machines). Smoke is comprised of totally different materials, since it is a product of combustion, a chemical process. This propylene glycol vapor is a -physical- change. While this is a good alternative to cigarettes and the lung cancer/emphysema that chronic smoking can cause, nicotine itself can lead to hardening of the arteries, so it's not a "healthy" device per se. It's definitely an better, and can help people that want to quit or give smokers an alternative. Liquid will not accumulate in your lungs. Propylene glycol, the "liquid" in the mixture, is a gas at standard temperature and evaporates on contact. They use it in smoke machines, for example.

I just think this is another way for the govt to 'scare' the american people...sure most kits (for 'vaping') range anywhere from 40-200+$ it's up to the person buying the kit to pay for it...we know what we are getting into. I do agree with the whole 'quality control' issue though. Research your ecig until your blue in the face. The one I bought cost 59.99 perfect for my pack and a half a day habit. I think that they are referring to the start-up price, and/or they are only referring to the crappy suppliers that advertise on the radio. A $70 kit usually only comes with enough fluid to last about as long as a $5 pack of analogs. I don't think that they realize that a 2 pack a day addiction can be satisfied with about $1-2 a day with ecigs.

I can see where this could be bad because of the tobacco, but there isn't tar and other stuff like in real cigarettes, and the doses of tobacco can be lowered so the body adjusts to less and less amounts of tobacco, eventually breaking the habit, and in the long run, it will be cheaper instead of sometimes 3 dollars a day for a pack.

I have asthma and when I started using the ecig I ended up in the E.R. with a really bad asthma attack. The doctor there says that the ecig is NOT why I had such a bad asthma attack and that YES THEY ARE GREAT FOR QUITTING! In fact, she has seen several patients who had used one to quit nicotine entirely, and her husband did too! It is not the nicotine that causes health issues, it is other things found in tobacco such as tar as well as additives which go into traditional cigarettes during manufacturing in order to maximize the number of cigarettes they get from the tobacco. You can't take 600 mg every morning and not go through withdrawals when you go cold turkey. I mean that in all seriousness, as I've had several doctors tell me that. hi mate, if you keep purchasing carts then it will only work out a little cheaper than smoking. so i would definitely advise that you purchase a bottle of e-liquid and refill the carts yourself as it far more cost effective. e-liquid is very cheap and a 30ml bottle is roughly the equivalent of 240 cigarettes :) this was the 1st review i ever done. ive done over a 100 since! ive also recorded an updated review on the mirage so check out my youtube channel or website at:- E-CIG-REVIEWS COM

Im a 40 a day smoker and down to about 5 using an e-cig - different model to this but the same idea. Fyi, the nicotine liquid is not neat nicotine, it is suspended in a known harmless carrier liquid and that is what is burnt off in the vapour. You can also buy liquid nicotine (again in a carrier liquid) in different strengths and flavours to refill the cartridges. 1 cartridge is equal to about 5-7 cigs depending on how hard you draw

Sleon: You SHOULD give them another try. What they don't contain is ammonia and other other chemicals intended to increase nicotine uptake, so, agreed, they don't have that initial IMMEDIATE nic hit. But they do give you one after 10 secs or so. Another cigarette effect they don't produce is death by lung cancer. By increasing the strength of the e-liquid and ensuring a more powerful vapor stream ("dripping" helped, and cutting the cart with USP glycerine), I got them working well for me.

The main thing you got to remember is that aprt from the cost, they realy are better for you than real cigs .... If you feel like you want a real cig, then have a few puffs on your e-cig and it will do the trick for you.....All your body is needing is a nic fix ..So get it from the e-cig and still blow smoke rings lol lol

It works out a lot cheaper than smoking. If your using the Super Mini then 1 cart is about the same as 10 real cigs and cost's less than 50p on the web, so a 20 a day smoker can carry on smoking for £1 per day.

Bigguyliam.... You can put in some Whiskey or Vodka ...But it will use your carts up realy fast and might just burn out your automizer as alcohol burns at a diffrent temprature from nicotiene. Lol ...Hope that helps.

Hi Lorann, Had a question, I was making a couple of differnt mixes and all of them see to have a burning or burned taste. No matter the flavor i use. ( its a new atty so its not that ) im mixing about 4 drops of lorann flavoring about 30 drops of tobacco and about 30 drop of glycerine. ive tried 3 differnt flavors all the same mixes and always have that taste. any ideas ? anyone else ideas ? thanks
