I've fully kept that in mind. Henry reigned for 38 years and is estimated to have killed 72,000 people... that would equate to around 1894 people for every year of his reign. In 5 years as Queen, Mary executed roughly 280 people... that would equate to roughly 56 for every year of her reign. (Had Mary reigned for 38 years [and executed at the average rate mentioned previously] she potentially could have? executed 2128 people.) The figures really aren't comparable.

I don't know, I think many people remember her strength. Elizabeth regularly gets ranked as one of the 2 top women in world history, and always gets ranked within the top? 10. I'm catholic, so I can't help having a sympathetic view on Mary Tudor, that aside, I regard Elizabeth as the best English/British monarch we've ever had, or will ever have; beating both Victoria, and Elizabeth II. She's such a great historic figure, and embodies what it means to be English & British.

Yes i agree even though i love Queen Elizabeth and what she did ( for a woman) in those days is amazing ( not saying she was perfect) but she was a good queen who loved her people. You can watch loads of movies they don`t give much info on the queen apart from her lack of marriage. People forget? she was a strong woman.

I don't think she was an especially good Queen, she didn't hold the position for long enough to know one way or the other. Elisabeth's first 3 years were as tenuous as Mary's only 3. The fact England was engulfed in political, economic and religious strife? throughout her reign was as much the fault of her predecessors' as it was her own. Mary Tudor had around 280 Protestants executed, a figure dwarfed by the 72,000 people Henry VIII had killed over the course of his reign.

Queen Mary Tudor was by no means the horrible, 'evil' Queen that so many believe. She was left a Kingdom that was in financial ruin, thanks to Henry VIII's pointless wars in Europe. Edward (and his Regents) ruled for longer than Mary Tudor, and achieved far less. Truth is, Elizabeth was special. In the trailer she proclaims that she is "her fathers daughter", in fact the traits that made her such a good queen were due to the fact she was her? mother's daughter.

Not? even 3 minutes in and the errors are annoying me to death. Elizabeth I. 'sexy'? Wrong word to use. Try flirtatious. She may have been good looking, that we will never know, but sexy isn't the word to use in this case. Also, the dress on Anne Boleyn is so inaccurate it makes me cringe, and the falling axe animation is so overdone and should not have been used for Anne Boleyn here, who died via sword. It's documentaries like these that give people the wrong information.

You are right in a way but I think its good that Mary spend only 5 years on the throne cos if she remained there for more years she would have done much more errors than she did. elizabeth on the other hand? was intelligent, and unlike her sister she possessed real love for her people. in fact she did not punish anyone for his belief, unlike her sister who killed hundreds of ppl cos of religion and her close mindedness.

I saw them 3 times, Antwerp 2008, Amsterdam 2010 and Paris 2011. He was not well the first time, the 2nd time was the best concert I have ever been to and the third time he was ill. I will forever miss him, he was just about the only reason I loved Kamelot (no use for solid music without a solid voice) and after 9? years of fandome I really don't know what to do mate, I don't. Take solace in the fact that you only had a 1/3 chance of a good concert :P
