@sharpeyeye i checked those sites too, no they are not from the same source. Their sentence structures are all different, and some do have more information than other sites.? Unless you are claiming that somehow one person creates all these multiple sites, which is a possibility, but highly unlikely.
By: sharpeyeye. on 08 Feb 12, 13:11:23
@Casshyr Hi casshyr, did that before i post.. but its all from the same source..only rephrasing.. theres no other extra? information in them (i dunno how to explain, english is not my 1st language)..not even in wikipedia.. usually wikipedia will include this kind of information..
By: ourlittlemissginny. on 08 Feb 12, 03:19:14
And according to? your beliefs, this makes more sense than having an intelligent mind design things and bring them into being? Mathmaticly speaking, your odds are impossible. You're talking high millions and billions. Seems to me your belief requires more faith than Christianity does. If one accepts God, a being with intelligence thought it all out and made it happen, but you believe this is impossible. Oh well, we appreciate the answer anyhow.
By: ourlittlemissginny. on 08 Feb 12, 03:14:37
So the odds are one in millions of making the smallest change, and yet that set of odds makes it possible to have mindless nature, with no intelligence, discover that a given being needs flippers, let;s say, decide what materials are needed and the process to evolve them, then over millions of years and rolls of dice, it makes it happen? We are talking micro changes, many of them.? That's what evolutionn is based on.
By: 1966Daywalker. on 08 Feb 12, 03:00:10
@MqO91 Wow! Well thanks for the answer.? :)
By: blkswimmer. on 08 Feb 12, 02:15:11
@lSd3d "So does this help explain to you why I feel human? beings are in violation of the laws of evolution?" No no no. Evolution means change over time, not improvement. In human beings, our intelligence is the key to our survival. Strength, hair growth, nail growth, speed, and skin colors are not significant factors against the natural selection we face. Our evolution is, and has been for awhile, fueled by 'sexual selection.' Which means, we pick mates for reasons? other than survival
By: MqO91. on 07 Feb 12, 22:48:19
@1966Daywalker Lets say you want to roll a six with a million of dice. Whenever you get a six you take that dice away and reroll all other ones which aren't a six. Over the time this small changes will add up and finally, after a long time, you will only have dice with the? six as a result. That's why you are sitting here today, because you are a long chain of 6s.
By: 1966Daywalker. on 07 Feb 12, 22:13:10
I have heard that nature simply made something evolve, and given the fact that nature is represented? as a mere force with no intelligence, since intelligence is what atheists do not believe in, then I would like to know how this can be.
By: 1966Daywalker. on 07 Feb 12, 22:12:09
Ok I would like to know something, and I am not interested in some insult filled pissing contest, I want a real answer. Would someone explain to me how it is that blind nature finds a problem in a specie that needs to be changed, recognizes the need for a change, decides how to make the change, then knows what resources are needed to do the changing. Anyone can say that nature just made something evolve because? it needed to.
By: Casshyr. on 07 Feb 12, 18:46:46
@sharpeyeye just google "jean francois poujot". You get tons of websites, not just atheist-based, showing you the history of banana. Of course, you can always just shut your eyes? + ears, and go "lalala"....but i don't think you are that kind of person, so happy reading :)
By: sharpeyeye. on 07 Feb 12, 16:27:26
at 8:17 .. i think the banana history is just a myth.. i cant find any source mentioning jean francois poujot cultivated the yellow banana..except for atheist forum etc.. i believe the yellow banana mutated thousands of years ago.. can anyone provide me any scientific? website proving this history of banana?.. i am a theist and believe in evolution.. and its hard to convince other theist with incomplete fact like this..
By: TheReegar. on 07 Feb 12, 07:28:07
@lSd3d There is enough evidence for evolution even if we didn't have the fossil record. Molecular biology alone gives us enough evidence for evolution. Please look at? the FACTS and don't be blinded by your BELIEFS.
By: sykeo123. on 07 Feb 12, 01:36:18
@lSd3d you know with all the uneducated filth like you , it is reason? why evolution is the most documented theorem ... more so than gravity.
By: lhvinny. on 07 Feb 12, 00:37:05
@lSd3d "Evolution is a loosely-based theory at best." You consider over 300,000 peer-reviewed articles showing evidence for evolution from one database alone (pubmed) "loosely-based?" You consider the unifying theory of all biology as "loosely-based?" You consider the theory that lead to the development of the study of genetics "loosely-based?" You consider a theory? that has more evidence backing it up than our current theory of gravity "loosely-based?" Sorry, I don't buy it.
By: Casshyr. on 06 Feb 12, 23:04:07
@lSd3d No there is no bias towards viewpoint against evolution,? as long as they are NOT RELIGIOUS. This is the key point. If you have evidence against evolution that is scientifically-based, then your paper of course will get published (along with a possible Nobel prize). Trust me, I have published in peer-reviewed journals before, i know the process first-hand. It is very rude for someone like you to claim it is biased without even having to go through the process.
By: navid500. on 06 Feb 12, 22:03:11
@lSd3d You think humans are in violation of the laws of evolution because we can't strip down and go naked into the wilderness and survive as well as other animals. WE DON'T HAVE TO. We live in houses. If we do go out in the cold, we take clothes and blankets. We can kill bigger, stronger, and faster animals with out weapons. Evolution is not limited to visible, physical changes. The evolution of our brains (intelligence) is what has put us at the top of the food? chain.
By: navid500. on 06 Feb 12, 21:58:43
@lSd3d The primary reason that humans (meaning us and our ancestors) have been so successful at surviving and reproducing is because of our INTELLIGENCE (compared to other creatures), not because of physical changes. Most animals are way stronger than us, but we can make weapons to hunt them. Most animals have fat and fur for the weather. We don't, but we can build shelter. I'm not sure why you think there's one formula for surviving. There are many different? ways.
By: navid500. on 06 Feb 12, 21:53:15
@lSd3d "We havent improved or adapted much in a physical sense now have we? You can't just strip down naked and go out into the wilderness and? survive like an animal from this planet can." We don't have to. We survive because we are smarter. We are able to provide shelter for ourselves, so we don't need to be able to survive naked in the wild. I'm not sure? why you think "survival of the fittest" is all about being bigger, stronger, and having better insulation.
By: navid500. on 06 Feb 12, 20:15:23
@lSd3d? No physical evidence for common descent? How about DNA, fossils, comparative anatomy, vestigial organs...just to name a few?
By: navid500. on 06 Feb 12, 20:10:04
@DOWrocksify 1. what's your point? it has wings...and those wings are useless...aka NOT a a very intelligent design 2. haha what a fail. the appendix is not part of the lymphatic system. it's part of the digestive system...and it's a vestigial organ. I think it's safe to? say that your attempt at a rebuttal (if you can even call it an attempt) was a dismal failure. Ostrich wings and the human appendix are both vestigial (aka useless). This is evidence for evolution and against ID.

the speaker in this video is a funny? man , wrong but very funny
By: lSd3d. on 06 Feb 12, 17:13:10
@amyjingles I don't know where you otained your degree, but you should ask for your money back. The society of Academia from whom the content of your course of study comes, would rather dislike you being allowed to be taught anything that disputes or refutes what they have? written as scientific law, thus you should be aware that any such interference from an outside source will be scathingly criticized and rejected as nonsense (just like how you reacted)
By: lSd3d. on 06 Feb 12, 17:09:40
You shouldn't assume I have no respect for scientific areas of study just because I have supplicated something you think is ridiculous. Instead of trying to discredit me or any personal knowledge or certifications I might hold, instead stay with me on the argument? and help broaden both of our perspectives on the matter. Evolution is a loosely-based theory at best. Its only been around for a short time and will probably soon be overshadowed by a different, more controversial theory.
By: lSd3d. on 06 Feb 12, 17:02:59
@yamnjam Look, wether you're creationist? or darwinist, you can't learn anything from imagining what things were like. You have to find some sort of physical evidence to make any postulations at all. You asked for a step-by-step explanation, and we can't give that because there isnt that much information recorded in what fossils we have already found, plus with all of the many recent archaeological digs and finds, STILL no new evidence has emerged to link man to chimp
By: lSd3d. on 06 Feb 12, 16:51:47
@Casshyr I dont get online everyday, so I have no choice but to dump all? at once, and besides courtesy is sort of out-0the-window in here since nobody seems to care to entertain the other side of the arguement. I apologize for the vast amount of text I posted, but if you take the time to read it, you should find it most informative, nothing more.
