I hate waiting 10 min to put on my retinol cream...is it ok to put a basic (non active ingredient) moisturizer on right after washing and then? put on retinol 10-20 minutes later? OOPS i meant to say exfoliate with the sea sponge. The? packaging says its ok for daily use. I just use it with 3 different types of washes (i.e. cleanser, scrub and cream wash). All of these washes are for daily use as well. Sorry to confuse u!

Hey Doc. I have a question. I just recently bought a natural sea sponge at the drugstore for $3 and the packaging says i can use it alone to exfoliate my face or with a cleanser. But i use it with a cleanser, scrub and cream wash. Is this okay? Because after the scrub i felt a bit stingy on my face but the cream wash made it a little bit better. I was breaking out like crazy on my chin area and after taking on your advice about exfoliating everyday with a gentle exfoliating cream and using azelaic acid cream, I am clear clear clear, and the acne marks are fading. I'm so happy!!! Hi! You will find lots of positive reviews of the Clarisonic, primarily from sources that? have a stake in the game. I just believe that: a) this expensive gadget is not necessary and you can get your face equally clean (pores and all) without it and b) it can aggravate active acne because you are over stimulating the sebaceous glands. I have seen this often in my skin care practice. If you are someone who likes to have the latest gadget, doesn't mind spending big and don't have acne, go for it!

I was hoping the Olay would work well for the price so thanks for the review! I have been thinking about clarisonic and now I really know that it is the last thing I need. No, not really. These brushes? are mostly hype and can actually aggravate acne by stimulating the sebaceous glands. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the best defense against white heads (or most any skin issue) is vitamin A derivative. I particularly like retinaldehyde. Lactic acid is also helpful while gentle. :))

Well, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one, hehe! It's been my personal experience that the? simpler, the better; and less is (usually) more. I feel like, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it;' so I stick w/the humble washcloth. And the only skincare products I use are a basic cleanser----Cetaphil Gentle, which I've been using since I was about 13, and I'm 29 now!----plus a C serum & sunscreen for AM, and Atralin (Rx tretinoin) for PM. That's it. And my skin has never been better :-)

We're located in Canada and unfortunately I'm unsure of what items are available in your area. You would be best to have someone take a look at your skin face to face and help you choose some products. A gentle exfoliant designed for the face and a? light moisturizer should help. I'm sorry I can't be of more help!

I would suggest looking at the products you are using. Make? sure you're using a gentle (not soap) cleanser, and a gentle scrub. Apply a moisturizer every day and night and you should start to see a difference. If not, then again asses what it is you are using on your skin. I can always provide recommendations if you need them.

Hello, for both of you my very first thought is that the product you are using may not be great quality or the right ones for you. If you are only applying lotion every other night and are still feeling dry, it may be best to start applying it morning and night. If that still doesn't work, you may need? to look at using something else.

I would suggest giving the products PFB or Tend Skin a try.They're both designed for exactly that. They'll exfoliate and soothe the skin at a deeper level then a mechanical (scrubby) exfoliant will. I really do hope that helps. If it continues at such an? extreme level you could try speaking to a dermatologist as well.

You can use a scrub on your chest, absolutely. Make sure? it's very gentle. Maybe start with one designed for the face. Let the product do the work, don't press too hard. It could also be that the lotions you've used in the past just aren't well formulated or are full of fillers and irritants.

Make sure you exfoliate before you get waxed. Using those scrubby gloves from the drugstore is great option. There's also a product sold in spas called PFB, or another called Tend Skin. They topically exfoliate skin and are? designed to lessen ingrown hairs.

she's got the client's feet in the footspa backwards!!! she dipped her hand into the salt scrub? and then after scrubbing the client's foot, dipped her dirty hand back into the salt scrub. That is why there are paddles to scoop out the product, to avoid contamination, not to meantion to avoid nail fungus! Gross!
