And by the way... I audited these samples through my Genelec studio monitors, and I'm a? sound engineer... so I do know about mono, stereo and the danger of judging audio stuff using crappy computer speakers... stills sounds crap to me, except for the bluegrass sample.

What's wrong with the sound? Whenever the Fishman is turned on in? this video, esp. playing the steel string, it sounds to me like the guitar is under water. Artefacts? I can't believe it would actually sound like this, no one would buy it...

Turning the "blend" all the way to the wet signal should give you some reverb; the pedal is designed to simulate an acoustic guitar being miced, so there should be some? natural reverb of the "room" that the image is using.

Hi, this video was not posted by Fishman Acoustics YouTube channel but, we'd like to respond to your question. ? Some have had success with piezo equipped electric guitars. The ASDI was invented with the intention of making your "acoustic" sound as if it were "miced". Fishman did not intend to model other acoustics but to match your acoustic sound and represent your instrument as closely as possible. Thanks.

I have one and it really helps my classical guitar have a natural mic'ed sound ... my taylor 214 has an lr baggs m1a and I? play it straight through and dont use the aura ...IMHO it just gives you a lot of options when you have none left ... Whoever designed the knobs needs to be slapped cause you cant see your settings from more than 6 inches away leaning over past he pedal .. i like it tho

This is borderline IMHO. If you happen to listen to this on a mono device like an iPad, you will see why. Frankly I can find many more interesting ways to add something. Also if you aren't using a Fishman pickup it's not much of a match. I was trying to use the anti-feedback for an oud: not much luck, either. A classy-looking unit, a great way? for tweaks with expensive acoustic guitars to spend some money.

It's not the amp that makes the difference in acoustic amplification. What matters is what kind of transducer is being used. Piezo pickups always sound tinny and quacky when pushed. Yes, they will cut through the? mix in band situations but the best sound for solo sets is some kind of mic set up (whether onboard or outboard) or a hybrid of a mic combined with some other option. That guitar sounds waaay better unplugged, the amp doesn't do it justice.

I hate to say it but, this video is misleading Fishmans true ability. I don't know if it's his guitar, his settings, or if he's tone deaft, but this demostration sounds like? crap.! I have never played any of these pedals but I know that Fishman has a great reputation in the Acoustic arena - I owe a Fishman Loudman 100 Acoustic Amp and LOVE IT..! I also owe a Zoom A2. 1u. Acoustic Modeler. Based on this video, if offered all 3 pedals in exchange for it I would flat out turn it down, -GilMambo

Nice effects if used at a more subtle settings..But at intense settings it mains a lot of the quality. Very pricey compared to othe options though..The man just has to many highs and should back them off and compensate some? of the brightness with mids and it should sound fuller..It sounds kind of scooped..

The thin tone is not caused by the Fishman gear. For example go to the fishman site and listen to the demos there. It's either due to a direct piezo out with no preamp, or this chap liking that? sound. In the past us Acostic players had to use Electric Guitar processors, not so nice. These units really are nice....

Have had my Fishman Solo for 6 months now, using at church service - fantastic sound. Two vocalists and a synth through the aux? input. One issue is I get feedback after I turn master volume past 9 o'oclock (about 25%), though there's sufficient volume in our 160' x 100' building at this 25% level. I use Shure SM58 cardiod mics - would using super cardiod mics (say Sennheiser e845) lessen this feedback? Thanks - Bob

Thumbs up for this amp indeed. I bought one along with 3 Fishman pedals and? this amp is awesome (although some settings using the pedals sound muffled no matter what). Tons of power, sounds great at all levels and is a breeze to carry (if you have too... maine stays put at home). Not a bad price either. Highly recommended. Thanks for the great review, btw.

I'm more than satisfied? with my current stars: LR baggs para acoustic DI, boss Gt-10, and avalon U5. For what is cost, it's not worth it, my expensive yamaha acoustic nylon guitars already have a fishman pickup/preamp built in, better suited maybe for recording, but for live use, I'm not entirely convinced.

Video would be much more helpful if volume was normalized across the entire presentation.? Hard to compare when constantly adjusting the volume, Very informative otherwise, but volume changes make it difficult to view.

I'd like the aura to come with a VST? plugin. Imagine recording using one or two mics plus DI the bass and treble separately and run them through aura plugins. Lotsa post production possibilities for a techno geek ;)

My first thought is not stereo. You can process the bass and treble side separately and? mix them after processing. What about two aura pedals using different mic models for bass and treble? Or different EQ settings, maybe? Stereo you get from your reverb pedal :)

Great guitar--shitty video. But I had to get it over with since I've been using this thing for a few years now. If you need to plug in and play loud-this is the best guitar I've used. The amp is small,light and inexpensive. And clean as hell.
