@Ryandalionbitch, I've had the stock Cobra, upgraded to a racing cam, twin turbo, converted the mass air intake from twin 80mm to? 120mm (I never use NOS), then reset the computer and came up with 900rwhp, not bad...Till I ordered the GT in 2010, had it sent directly to Hennessy. I got it back, it had 1595rwhp (round 1600hp). Heard the term, "Racing for Pinks"? The ONLY car with a decent showing was a Bugatti from the 3 day event, 1/4 mile and the Texas Mile. Wanna see if you can "smoke" me?

I agree the GT40 is an exotic car, but? this is a 2005 Ford GT (not the GT 40) although it is based on the 40. After the GT40 swept Le Mann's top 4 spots two years running, it was Banned as "too fast and dangerous", the real reason, none of the other Euro cars could beat it...They just could not stand the thought of having an American car winning all their races. In 2010, Ford had a contest for new body designs, some they showed were a little too much, but it is due out in 2013 or 2014.

Not base model. ZR1 matches straight line performance across the board except top speed, but gets the same grip in the corners as a Ferrari 458. It's the best Corvette ever built hands down. Props to Ford for the GT, but it's not the only company that can build a Ferrari fighter. Pull your head outta your? ass.

Enzo only entertained the idea just to screw with Henry Ford II. He never had any intention of letting the italian company become part of that american beast. Also a good deal of the work on designing and building the car didn't come from the UK. And all the work wasn't done in Detroit. The actual car they used was built by Holman Moody. Also lets not forget our friend the Chicken Farmer, Carrol Shelby who also put in? quite a bit of work. Its All american.

Apparently most of you do not know your history. The GT40 won more than 2 races when the mechanical problems were ironed out. It won four times in a row the 24 hours at Le mans. After that, due to rule changes it was obsolete. Probably because MR> Ferrari did NOT want to keep losing races. 1966 the MkII 1967 MkIv and 1968-69 the oldest of? the gt40 chassis design, the Mk I. 4.2 L-4.7L and 7L Of course soon the P917s came and goodbye to EVERYONE! im not going to give ford props for FINALLY making a sportscar compete with a sportscar, i suggest you take your stang to bmw, test drive an M3 and find out what your missing, its not that ir handles like a ferrari, or because it has f1 technology, or that german meisters hand crafted the engine, its? the sheer fact that its more enjoyable to drive, its fun, its like having the closest thing to a gt car on the street, you might just wise up and trade that stang in.

look dude ive owned a 01 bullitt stang, i still have it in the garage with a blown engine, and that car was track modified with tockico shocks/suspension/springs, some engine mods(mild) and ive test drove the new boss 302, and they pale in comparison to my E46 M3, i even get more looks in the M3, and 9/10 i take any stang or camaro on the straight and the? twists, on our togue, its just a better car, there really is NO comparison
