I did that years ago. I was standing with two girls and they stated their conversation in french. I thought I could keep up but I only got like 2% of the conversation. I wasn't going to walk out so I pretended I understood what they were saying and agreeing with one and the other. C'est pas possible, vraiment, hmm mmm, mais noo. ouai, etc. Who the hell knows what? they were saying but I blended in naturally.
