HP IS SHIT. Products are unreliable and their customer service is a disgrace too. My latest? 'All In One' has only had little use but because its warranty period has expired I'd have to pay a packet to get it repaired. Every HP printer I've had has been problematic, unike the Epson that I once borrowed from a family member. HP's colour profiles are all wrong too, and when I complained they couldn't care less. I had to borrow some pricey software to make my own colour profile. No more HP for me!

the newer version of this printer came out its called the p1102w. this one is wireless so you can connect multiple pc/macs to it. It uses a different? cartridge though. i have both. the one above he talks of, its cartridge runs for $55, but i buy compatible which is about $15-20 and prints 1500 pgs. and has pretty much the same quality.

Actually you are wrong. Duplexing been? around maybe 20 years. Now on the other hand. The price for a duplex printer has fallen. The average Joe can afford to purchase the duplex printer. Companies like HP see the market trend toward double sided printing so they produce models that support duplexing to get the average Joe hard earned dollars.

I own the HP CP-1525NW . I have to flip the paper over for dual side printing . But? its cheaper than this printer , That printer cost about 500.00 dolars and the one I own cost me 149.00 on sale for black friday sale . But the print toner cartridges cost about 80.00 a piesce . For a 64 bit solution, put the printer on a 32bit machine like WinXP as a print server. Your Win 7 64 bit machines will be on the network. Install the host based drivers from HP. Modify the DOS driver? and link it to the USB port. Install the printer on Win 7 machine as a local printer with a port name \\Computer Name\Share Printer Name. Windows update the drivers!!! Use the HP LaserJet 1100 MS driver. References: Read the posts made by Los 15 and erpp on HP Support forums.

At the end it is looking for a *.inf file, and the one I saved? was lj629en.exe. When I click "have disk" it will not accept this file. And I cant find any installation file on the laptop. I have ran the exe file, it did say it has finished, but where are those files? I dont see where it placed them, so I cant point to any of it. I hope it makes sense.. :-)

This is a very good and fast printer, I have 5 kids, my husband is a researcher and I print my own busines art stuff, so u can imagine how much printing we do. the color is great and it's water proof. my last best printer was HP deskjet 970cxi, which i got in 2000. I will never buy an HP printer due to all the problems I had with this printer. I changed it twice: first time because the? printer stop working one day. Second time, it was impossible to setup the wireless network, after 5 days trying to solve this issue I notice that the CD provided by HP was wrong. I downloaded the software online (not on the HP web site, that didn't work) and that was the only way to make it work wifi. I'm 100% that the "nw" on "CP1025nw" is for NEVER WORKING. Don't buy it.
