I had 2 problems with LiveView the first version: terrible? battery life and it was not waterproof. I wander if they fixed that. And also it keep disconnecting from my phone (I have Motorola Atrix). Couse I used it for three - four month struggling with those issues and now it laying down in my drawer. Another piece of useless gadget.

I'd put the camera into live view first and focus with the screen. You'll need to find a bright star. You may want to try this during the day with a distant building or hill to make sure your camera can be positioned at the right distance to achieve sharp? focus - if not you may need to use additional extension tubes.

Hi, I have a canon rebel (t2i) and a 120ST telescope. I just purchased the camera and quite frankly don't know a whole lot? about it. I took it out tonight (with t-ring/t-mount) and I found it impossible to focus on any object. I'm sure it is an easy fix but I can't seem to figure it out? I can't post links here in YT, but feel free to discuss it in the technical section of the cameralabs . com forum! We have several astro-photographers there who can help! PS - an eye pice doesn't necessarily double the magnification. The magnification is the focal length of the telescope divided by the focal length of the eyepiece, so my scope is 540mm. If I? use a 10mm eyepiece, then the magnification would be 540 / 10 = 54x.

Alright, dare I ask for a link and a photo of the telescope you used? I'm interested in astrophotography. But of course getting a good mount, telescope and all the things necessary for good photo aren't easy are they? I also have a very basic question I'd love you to answer, when you say about the eyepiece - Which itself doubles magnification, do you have to buy a? different adapter to have that fitted? Or is that extra eyepiece not used at all?

Depends what you want to achieve. I'd start simple with as big a lens? as you can buy / borrow / rent. Then look out for local astronomy societies with scopes you can use. Buying a half-decent scope and mount ain't cheap - you're looking at a couple of grand and up.

The best part about this is that there is a Torque plugin for it so it can display custom vehicle information while you are driving. Want shift points or other data? This is a sweet little device if only for that. What they really need to do is put some internal memory on it or let me plug in an SD card so it can be like an iPod Nano 6th gen. Then it? would be REALLY useful.

dont you see the practical uses of this?? What about not wanting to take out your expensive phone in the middle of a crowd of people? What about if your driving, because lets face it... people do and will look at their phone while they are driving... What about when your running and want to check? your fitness levels etc?? My guess is you are shooting on an automatic mode. Turn your mode dial to P, TV, Av or M and check again.? You might want to check out the Canon T1i Crash Course DVD, It will save you a lot of headaches. Best wishes

I can't find the live view options on my camera. I have the exact same one. A Canon Rebel T1i, and? I've gone to the tab where it has the LCD brightness, date/time, etc. But after sensor cleaning, there's no option for the live view settings.

the live view does not work with any of the basic modes. you have to be in the custom modes for it to work. that is the P,Tv, Av,M,and A-DEP modes on the camera. when you are in that mode press the menu button, those modes have more menu functions and choices. in the manual it says that the basic modes are set? and fixed to eliminate bad pictures, live view must be one of those thing that causes bad pictures lol.
