@Paws24live I have an AquaClear hang-on filter. It's pretty quite but you can still hear the motor. I heard Aqueon are quite, not sure if that's what you have. If you are looking for complete silence, try a submersible filter, rather than a hang-on filter.?

holy crap..you? should never pick up a tank with water in it..It may be ok being a smaller tank but don't be surprised if you have a leak in the future. Good luck.

Thats a good question. I think there is an upside down cat in this video, i can't really remember, but we do still have him. When we got them (when my cousin finished her tank) there were 2 of them but one died unfortunately. They never seemed to bother with each other much, and the one thats left got bigger? when the other one died... not really sure how to read that. He seems perfectly ok, so I think you can keep them singley if you want to.

Nice Tank, And well kept too, :) i have a question though, i recently lost a catfish due to a fungus, :( i was lucky enough to save the rest of the tank with some good medication :) Are catfish better in groups or do they not mind being? on there own, i have a bristlenose but for some reason the prices of all catfish at my local store seem to have shot up!

Well,it's a bit the same thing. Except when you smash their head against something, they might not die straightaway, but if you have a big meat knife or something similar, you can just chop their head off and it'll be painless and fast. Feeding live fish to other, predatory fish is illegal in some countries, because the fish might suffer then too. I really think killing them with a knife is the best solution. Although, wash the knife afterwards, you might not want? to use it otherwise!

Thanks :-) its 29 uk gallons, which i think comes out at about 131/132 litres? (acording to a rather dodgy conversion table!) We try to keep the tank looking good, but to be? fair the sucking loach does a lot of the work in terms of keeping the glass and the logs clean!

Beheading fish is perhaps not the best plan either - if its healthy you kinda have a responsibility for it. If you have to kill a fish (for reasons of sickness etc) I would recomend smashing? its head against something - it sounds awful I know, but its quick. If you have bigger outdoor fish you could feed it to them, also very quick, but if its sick you might not want to do that...

@webkinz7709 You should never flush fish down the toilet while they're alive! It's animal torture and it's strongly recommended to put them on a piece of paper and cut their head off neatly. It's a much more humane way of getting rid of a bad fish. Although, I would reccomend checking if your fish is compatible with the other fish in the tank and if it's not ask a friend or somebody who's fish are compatible with the species to rehouse him.If not,flush him AFTER? KILLING HIM so he doesn't suffer.

Your English is just fine - it is far better than my Dutch! The snails will not hurt the fish, but you will need to get rid of them if you ever want to breed the fish, because the snails will eat the fish eggs. I would recomend getting a tank cleaning fish, such as a sucking loach or an ottocynclus, as they will eat some of the snails eggs. You will still have some snails in the tank, but there won't be? too many of them. You can also get larger snails that eat the smaller ones.

You don't need to wait two weeks. Leave it for 2 days and then put some plants in and leave it for a week. ? You have to let the water stand to get rid of the chlorine they put in tap water. The plants put lots of oxygen in the water and then you can put the fish in. You can get air stones(in various shapes) for the bottom of the tank to release bubbles. They are attached to an air pipe, so you will need an air pump, but they are fairly cheap and they last for ages.

Love it. i had 2 silver sharks.? but one died very early. the other one was about 11cm in total length when he passed. he either broke his spine for fractured it. it was very hard to put him down. I suppose your sharks are huge now? Q. do you have anytrouble with your neons and your fighter. my local pet store stated that the neons attack the fins on fighters so they recommended me not to get them. love your tank i also like how you have goldfish in there to. my last goldfish reached 20cm

I honestly do not remember, it has been about two years? now :) I do remember buying two bags of it and I had about half a bag left over. I am thinking each bag was5KG, but please do not quote me on that weight :) I filled it to a height of 1.5 inch. I would not recommend any higher than that.

It all depends on the season and what the fish store has in stock. Best way is to know all the local fish shops to you and visit them every two weeks. Once you find a fish that? you like, ask them if they are compatible with your fish. The male Guppy's are a colourfull fish but you need at least 5 together to make an impact and they die easily.

If you put real wood into your tank without some preparation it will make the water look like tea. You need to soak it in a bucket of water, changing water everyday or so, for a few weeks. Or, you can boil it in water about 4-5? times. I did both and had wood for my tank in about a week. Good luck!

I got three new tiger barbs last week. I added them to my 55 gallon tank that has seven golden tetras (1 year old) and one pleco (3 years old). I also added a bubble curtain and bubble stone. My pleco LOVES the bubble curtain. He keeps swimming up and down all day in the bubbles. Definitely worth the $15 I spent on it. :)

I have had my annularis for I think 2 years now. It is one of my most piece full fish that I have except when someone goes into? his favorite hiding space. He never killed a fish or even became aggressive with one, even when I add other angels. for some reason, my annularis hates adult emperors and my blue hippo hates clown tangs and blue jaw triggers. You can see what fish I have had from the start when I first started posting compared to my most recent videos.

sorry for the late reply. Not sure what you have in your tank now after 2 months lol. I wouldn't keep small fish in a? tank with a snow flake eel. I tried that and it ate a couple of my small fish that I had. Angels need sponge in their diet so be sure to be feeding your angel(s) sponge. besides that, korans are pretty hardy.

What I do when I add new fish is first, I turn the lights off and I feed the tank. After acclimating the fish to the tank, I put? it in the tank and if I see any aggression, I catch the aggressor and put separate it for a couple of hours so the new fish can calm down a little. The fighting does start back up once I release the aggressive fish but its nothing major and they all calm down after a day. I do leave the lights off for a day or 2 during this time.

I don't know how those fish are fighting so much.? They aren't even related besides the 2 nigers. Why don't you try moving the rocks around so they calm down a little and feed them a little more? Everytime I add new fish, it does get harassed for a day or 2 but it stops after that.

Yes they are but mine doesn't try to eat my clowns or cleaner wrasse because I had the cleaner wrasse in the tank before I got the? sweetlips and the clowns I put in there when the sweetlips was smaller so it doesn't consider them food. If I put a silverside in the tank that is 2-3" long which is a lot bigger than the clowns and cleaner wrasse, the sweetlips eats the whole thing in a split second. If I add any small fish now, it would eat them up right away.

It does take a a day or 2 for my fish to get used to a new fish that I put in the tank but besides that, there is no killing. I do enjoy? watching my tank. It probably doesn't look like it from the video but the majestic is about 8.5 inches. I am planning on taking a better video soon with a better camera.

You're welcome . . . your tank must give you hours of pleasure watching the variety of fish -- you have quite a few specimens that I very much enjoy like; the powder blue tang, emperor angel and majestic angel. Perhaps one day I may be fortunate to have such? a nice display in my home too. You have combined some fish that others don't recommend, but you have proven that there are the exceptions to the rule if you have the right touch -- obviously, you have the touch. Thanks for the compliment! I sold the moorish idol. He used to eat clam only but with the other fish I have, he was barely? getting his share and wasn't an aggressive eater at all so I figured he will have a better chance in a tank with fish that aren't as aggressive as my fish. I used to feed more than 2 times a day but recently i have cut back to once a day so I can bring my nitrates down.

The small tank is a 10 gallon (I think) cold water with one red and white fantail and just one guppy. I put the guppy in there because he would have died in my tiger barb tank. Hey- nice tank, I see you have a lot of accessories in the tank. When you? do a water change and clean your gravel, is there an easier way to clean the tank without having to remove all the plants, rocks and coral. It takes me around 2 hours to do and I'm looking for an easier way! My tank gets flithy in about 2 weeks...

LMAO! Strange way of looking at things mate.... The tank is not overcrowded at all, there is plenty of room for those fish - a lot have now been moved to other tanks since the video was done, so dont worry about it. No im not 74, im 20... and i do have 174... The tanks did cost a bomb, but what is there to say i cant buy them? They're not all huge tanks mate, most are 12inch cubes, there's 8x 4foot? tanks, 8x 3foot tanks, 8x 2foot tanks and 12x 18inch tanks. I'll get a video online soon.

nice fish, you have some of my favorites in there! However, you have to switch to either bare-bottom or sand. Your ray will get badly hurt no matter how smooth your gravel is. Trust? me, I know from experience. :)

Howdie all, i have two stergeon in my garden pond who thrive very well. its nice that you have an interest in stergeons, from what i can see your koi are not flipping or rubbing on glass so water seems fine, my? guess is not enough space or shock from temperture as you put stergeon in. they are lovely fish who are active all year round even in winter unlike koi. hope this was helpful. ps stergeon feeding ok as not forming u shape.
