Phil Spector did not produce Bob Dylan's "Just like a women" off of the "Blonde on Blonde Album-Producer Bob Johnston . Very funny clip at the end with John Lennon thanking Phil is really making fun of Phil if you utube it u will see in full clip. John actually had a hard time recording with Phil on his solo album as John was finally growing out of his pop stage and was really getting serious about lyrics and his own music style.? At best Phil is a really great "POP" Producer.

Whoah, see? I didn't even know all that, but it doesn't surprise me. I'm gonna go watch that one now. What a sick motherfucker, I hate his guts even more now. I wish they would let me issue the justice on some of these creeps, I would not kill him, but he'd be serving his sentence minus a few limbs. And every few months I'd rip open the scars for him. Well actually after posting that I watched a docu on youtube about him called Phil Spector Demons - and yeah the guy was pretty messed up - and the way he treat his kids!!! Terrible. Innocent or not - he deserves jail for that alone - one of the kids strongly suggested Phil had abused him when he was a kid in many ways including sexually (though not in the way most sickos do this guy made his? 8 year old son fuck an unknown woman while son wore a blindfold. Sick man.

Hmm, just curious, have you ever played a? musical instrument before, especially with other musicians? If you had I think you'd find these comments pretty insightful. The recordings he's referring to are legendary, and for me personally, I find the idea of playing jingle bells on a pop recording very unteresting. Phil is probably most famous for coming up with the "wall of sound", as Hal mentions here, 5,6,7 guitarists; mic placement; and where the madness sets in, endless perfectionism.

Absolutely. From memory, the most recorded drummer in history; 35,000 recordings, 40 #1 singles; it's all in his book, mentioned above, Hal Blaine & The Wrecking Crew. But this? interview adds more. On a personal note talking about the kindness of Phil, to Sonny Bono. I've also personally heard Marky Ramone, and Seymour Stein, following recent events, speak in support of Phil. It's nice to hear about this side of him. And he also produced some special music, like John Lennon's Imagine.

Note that Billy Wilson presents himself in the 2/18/2002 post as knowing who played bass on every 1964-1968 Motown recording. (!!!)
