They then loudly played sound frequencies from the speaker causing the paint to bounce of the rubber creating abstract shapes. Thanks for the video,? I did not know where the paper feed was until I saw your video, and I will never ever read the manual. Unbelievable what you can get for $29 in this day and age. I already had a USB cable from the previous HP printer. Canon gives a scanner, copier and printer for $29. I think you can print only 200 pages before the ink runs out. The device drivers are available online.

It's kind of loud, and a little fragile (which is OK since it just sits on a desk) but other than that it works pretty good, and you can choose to print high quality and pour lots of ink into your documents if you want via? the settings, which achieves a better look. be careful to let it dry though if you do that.

I picked up a Pixma IP4500 strictly for direct printing to DVD and handling printing of the DVD case inlays and I'd been extremely happy with it. Granted I had to hack it "via the Five Easy Steps" and buy a CD tray for it since I'm? in the US, but it's all good. A monkey could do it. I decided to test the duplex out and it is slow on stock settings, but I only duplex via my laser printer, so it's all good. lukelja; it pulls the paper back in, flips it, then prints on the other side.

I have found the solution to the duplex problem with help from canon tech support. You need to go to Printer Properties / Maintenance / Custom Settings and set the "ink drying wait time" all the way to the left at "short". There is no need for the default setting? of 45 seconds between sides on a double sided page...

Their are many bulk refill kits and methods available,? the demonstration video needles shown in my opinion are too thick, and do damage to the foam inside when inderting the needle into the cartridge , the preferred needle size should be the same size as that used by doctors injecting patients. Also have a roll of soft toilet paper handy to immediately wipe up spills.

Ive gone through 4 canon printers for rersaerch over a four and a half year period just bought today of Ebay my fifth canon MP170. May I make comment for what it's worth, canon printers and cartridges have only a finite life spanonly so many pages cane be printed and usually 3 to 5 refills each cartridge, pulling cartridges in and out of? the printer also takes a toll on the chips (CSI) system is better method but expensive. Do not overfill the cartridges as excess ink can distroy the printer

This works perfectly! Only you have to watch out when you get that big thing out of it with the cartridges on it.. There is a white plate behind it with 5 springs which fall out easily. They can be put back, but some arent that? easy to put back.. If they do fall out, you should google up the manual. There's a drawing of the printer in it, where you can see how the springs are positioned if you zoom in and look closely.

I have one as well as the older ip4500 the 4700 prints Photos very well equal to the ip4500 which is excellent? quality and from 5 inks. The build is lighter than the ip4500 and uses a metal edge for carriage guide the ip4500 uses a massive polished rod. That said its a great printer easy to refill too DVD WEB Photos it handles them all

@pleindejaune its more than likely just plain acrylic paint, since its? very cheap, comes in many colors and is a good consistency. Oil paint would be way too expensive and thick to use, watercolor and inks would be too thin and also very expensive.

Changing the ink cartridge of my Canon printer. As you can see the lights blink when the ink runs out. The light also blinks slowly if the ink is low. These are compatible ink cartridge which I bought in a package of 12 because $14 each cartridge can get expensive especially with 5 ink cartridges...

@Slurfs Well I use compatible cartridges so it is cheaper. Yes it would be nice if they had bigger cartridges. I print occasionally 4x6? photo prints for my mom. There is continuous ink I've seen though those void warranty. I think all inkjet printers have a ink absorbers that may need to be serviced sometime in the lifetime of the printer. Good luck finding a better alternative. I like Canon. It's middle of the line in price for ink with great quality prints.

@AkoyPinoy2 My cannon printer works well too but it consumes serious amounts of ink and also will not work (without a service) since the wastepad is full. So even if the printer delivers excellent pictures and text documents? it is still a no go since the ink usage is frankly something you can just laugh at. Canons driver and tools are ok and canon usually makes excellent products but ink printers... no way - the ink cartridges should have been at lest 4x larger (each and every one of them).

@Slurfs It? has worked well for me. I've had all three common brands, Epson and HP, before though the time between them is a long time. Replaced when broken. Each printer from each manufacturer have their own problems. This printer has given me less problems than others. I print a few. I print more for others really. I like that that it is not an all in one. So replacing it is easier. I do have a scanner by Canon that I use. The newer models finally have CD printing capability for US customers.

The Canon Pixma IP4600 is a horrible printer. The print quality is fantastic but for each and every poweron it consumes A LOT of ink. also when replacing ONE cartridge it also consumes A LOT of ink. I don't print much and now after printing about 100-200 pages (during a 2 year period) and after replacing ink cartridges about 4 times the ink absorber is full already. Replacing it costs more than? purchasing a new printer. I'm NOT going to buy canon again. At least not without doing proper research

kinda not necessary to make a video of a printer getting a new cartridge although i watched it as i have the exact same printer, bought it at a bargain price at its? time. Too bad pixma (those bastards from canon) have released newer ones that allow you print from specific cartridges. Meaning you can print B&W if you wanted if other coloured ink is empty, but you can't for iP4600. p.s dont' waste money on cartidges just get a refill kit off ebay, got ink and syringe.

I had an Epson with a black, and tricolor cartridge. I would get worried when it thinks the color is low then it runs out when I print a black? and white document. With this printer it would give a warning message and just press OK and continue printing. I haven't run it dry such that lines become visible yet. Also when I change the cartridge it is completely empty. That's good to know you are not wasting ink on bad electronic assumption.

That's annoying when I want to print a simple B&W document and the cyan cartridge is out. The quality is great but I wish Canon would be a bit more considerate to its customers (then again, it's just a corporation).
