This is a video review of the Pure Smoker Ace. This is a KR808D-1 model. It is a two piece design. With that the Cartomizer is your atomizer and cartridge in one. Once you are done with the cartomizer you just throw it out and get a new one. This unit is very easy to use and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great starter device and or for the seasoned vaper looking for convenience.

@llieske this one from? puresmoker is the most rugged i've seen, unfortunately its been discontinued and i'm not sure if there's a worthy replacement out there for it. you could probably find a used one in the forums like ECF, vapersforum or newvapor but other than that the other PTs are not highvoltage like this one or is flimsy. sorry i wish i could be more help >_< happy vaping!

What up phee! Hey I'm looking to get a passthrough. I haven't been in the market in a while so don't know what's hot, thought I'd ask you! I see a lot of them out there for crazy cheap, like $10, but I don't want a cheap pos, I'd like something? rugged that's built to last and has a nice throat hit, 6v preffered. If you want to do a video on that yourself, you seem to have a bigger audience that would be cool to get that word out. Also my battery pack for the pass through is kind of neat to. @nomoresmokes Don't buy the? new one... the original was a great device, and I still have a working one... however, the V1 and V2 Prodigy, Protege AND the new Stainless passthrough are more frustration than they're worth. If you don't want to learn how to solder, and you don't want to send your device back to PureSmoker a million times then get something else. I recommend a VP passthrough from vaportalk, or ANYTHING else that isn't Chinese.

I can never get as much vapor from my 510 as you do. I don't know how all you guys get so much vapor. Mine titan is not as good. I know the atomizer is working fine. I think my drawback is the cart or the liquid. I even sit here with your face in front of mine, drawing for the same amount as time as you do and youi get? 10x more vapor. i'm assuming there's a capacitor or something built into the PT and generates? enough to reach 5v? i use my PT on my macbook and my kensington battery pack and with a multi-meter i get a solid 5.05.1v raw output 100% of the time, now the voltage after u put an atomizer is varied and we cant tell but i guess i cant answer your question, it just seems to work lol thanks for the view and comment =P

How is that running at 5 volts off your computer- USB, as far as I know, is only outputting current at 500mA per port. Check windows device manager and you should see your USB hub at 500mA.. To get 5 Volts at low resistance like 2.3 which these attys run? at you need over 2 amps. am I missing something ?

One thing you shouldn't overlook is the fact that many people come from LR 501 attys prior to going str8 to 6V. The thing is the amount of liquid poured to a 501 is about half the amount you need to put into an 801 atty. Therefore if the 801 adapter is not started off right you risk of overheating? the unit. My advice is to pour about ten 8 drops the first time. Then when you are vaping just pour the tip of the dropper into it everytime you refill. That has worked for me.

I had a problem with the 901b atomizer from overtightening. I wouldn't say my screwing skills are overzealous I just think the quality of the glue used to hold the inner-workings in place is of shit-tier quality and needs to remedied? with something more permanent, eg soldering. In my example, the atomizer came completely loose, came completely out, and turned freely while screwing so the result was a blocked carburetor.

This is my review for the new line of www.puresmoker.com tonic juice. I am reviewing the Mellonica Flavor. This is a great sweet candy like flavor. This reminds me of a watermelon jolly rancher. If you overfill it, you will flood the atomizer and it won't work until you clean and dry it out. You also run the risk of it leaking into the battery if you use too much. The video is demonstrating the proper way to drip. Use just enough to get the job done. You can always add more later. I grew tired of fiddling with? re-filling cartridges and now drip almost exclusively. I use a lubricator pen filled with smoke juice that lets me deliver measured drops directly to the atomizer wick.

The atomizer only heats up to the point of vaporization. The microchip inside the device limits the temperature. It doesn't boil it into steam. It works just like the fog machines at rock concerts or in stage plays or toy trains. It produces a super fine aerosol mist, so it takes very little liquid to make quite a large amount of mist per drop. Also, the device is only "ON" when you are? taking a drag. There is a pressure switch inside the unit that activates when you inhale through it.

it's the same as breathing in fog. vapor isn't higher than body temperature unless you are smoking too hard. if you are, it will get hot to the touch near the atomizer- it stays cool due to its design and when properly used there is only a tiny heat source in the atomizer briefly while you are taking the drag. you also don't get hypoxia from carbon monoxide as in regular cig smoke, so it takes some time to get used to "knowing? when you're satisfied"

what I don't understand is if this is vapor, or steam, primarily composed of water, wouldn't that be harmful to have water vapor inhaled into your lungs? not saying you could 'drown' with one of these, even though it only takes a teaspoon of water? to drown, but wouldn't there be some amount of water that stays in your lungs? and how hot is the vapor? and how does the e-cigarette stay cool to the touch? I've seen people take a drag and then grab the cigarette and put it in their pocket.

@xlr8up for me, the v3 is great, its actually my current day-to-day device, IMO they've come a long way since the V1 - as for the attys though they all come from china and its best to just make sure you get from a good source like BOGE. this video is over 2 years old and since then i? believe they've gotten much better, the v1 was a dud for me but i think the v3 is a total win =P

I had high hopes for the Prodigy v3.1, but due to faulty machining and crappy, non-existent customer service, the Prodigy (at least mine) was total FAIL and I'm not the only one who had problems! The threads sucked from day one and the? thing never fit right, requiring a ton of fiddling with washers and center-screws every time I wanted to switch attys. The atomizers never had design flaws, it was flaws in the Prodigy itself that made me an outspoken critic of anything manufactured by PureSmoker.

It took two weeks to get mine. The Prodigy was too bulky for my taste anyway, which was why I sold it upon request. I DO think PS should have recalled the PV1 and the Proteges to replace the switches. I got lucky with my Protege. No probs with? the switch, and I love it for 3.7 vaping.

nice lol i just found that the V1 switch is just faulty - even when i switched over to proper 3.0v batteries the switch kept die'n. i've sent in the V1's switch almost ten times now and now it just sits in my stash. wow you got your SS? i ordered mine months and months ago and still waiting for it, I CANT WAIT! but for now i've got my trusty SilverBullet? =] glad i could help you out eheheheh

I had exactly the same experience with my Prodigy that you did, for exactly the same reason: I was using 3.6's instead of the 3.0 v cr123a's. Unfortunately, I sold my Prodigy before I realized why I kept blowing attys. I since bought a Super 6 from supertmanufacturing, from a suggestion you made in a PM to me. THANKS. as for the burnt paper throat burn i agree that the atty was too dry but not because i did not drip enough, it was because? the super high voltage (beyond 6v) was drying out the atty faster than how much i could drip in the atty without flooding it. the lesson was just to always use 3v batteries and not any higher, thanks for the comment and the view! happy vaping!

no no no, of course PS sent me 3.0v batteries but i have other batteries that are rated at 3.6 and 3.7 and i wanted to try them out with the PD and thats how i managed to pop my attys so quickly. my total voltage was at 7.4 and 7.2 which is way higher than 6v! with the resistor i was probably pushing 6.1 - 6.3v which is way higher than any? atty can handle.

Hmmm all my prodigy batteries are RCR123A 3.0v (not 3.7v) - I got them all from Puresmoker (I have a switch with a resistor as I was pretty early in the queue). No problems at all. Are you sure you didn't just get the wrong batteries given the resistor is? not on your switch? It should work at 6v too. The "burnt paper" throat burn you are mentioning is due to it being too dry. With no resistor, even with the right batteries you are REALLY going to have to keep that thing wet. 6v drinks juice.

@orthchris I was surprised at how small it was with a cart. It's kind of funny. Having a cart or atty with a drip tip makes it look totally different. It looks super sleek with a cart, more like a little techie gadget? with an atty (both looks I like). It's definitely my favorite ecig to carry with me. I'm using a Lo-res Bauway atomizer now. Great vapor but I can't believe how hot that thing gets. From a cold start, a few seconds on the button and the atty will burn your finger.

@orthchris Got my Icon. Pretty awesome ecig. Feels great in? the pocket, amazing battery life and I love the locking switch. Honestly, I didn't like the atomizer that came with it though. Works great with a Boge LR cartomizer. Trying to find a new atomizer I like. I've been using Joye 510s from cignot.com but they've been really inconsistent. Sometimes one will give me even better vapor than the LR boge, then the next one will just suck. Ordered some Joyes from Innovapor and some Bauways.

@orthchris Outside of the batts that came with my icon (2nd hand) I do not own IMRs. I do not need them. Stressing batteries = cholesterol build up in the batt = shorter life. In the long run it cost more using the inappropriate batt. If folks are cognizant of this? and still wish to use them, I am cool with that. But they need to know, the dis-advantage, that is all. In larger cells yes mAh wins any day of the week over max discharge current, providing the cell can deliver the req'd current.

I like the way you went into the draw differences, an important consideration that is seldom mentioned. Your Tenergy cells sparked my interest. I never seen them in that color. Got a link? This comment, "On the downside your? batts produce 1.35A at best" can obviously be ignored. 1.35A won't even fire a LR306. Standard? 14500's are being stressed, but it's ludicrous to think that that the many folks who use them with LR atties are vaping at 2V.... which is all 1.35A would provide.

Good review Chris. On the downside your batts produce 1.35A at best and your LR atty requires 2.5A. That's why folks use high drains. The IMRs can deliver (14500) 4A? more than enough to meet the demands of LRs. Battery University is a good place to learn about batts.

@Marder1975 hi mate, my ICON works great with the Bulli but i believe the new style ICON's now have a slightly different connection that makes the Bulli need a little fiddling with to work. basically the centre pin of the Bulli won't make? contact with the centre pin of the ICON, so you have to roll up a tiny ball of foil to place in between the two in order to bridge the gap.....not ideal, but it does work ;) cheers scott

hi mate, the ego is a great e-cig, but i personally much prefer the icon. i like things that i can keep hold off and will last for years which i believe the icon will. where as the ego is basically just a battery that will need to be replaced over time. obviously, the battery in the icon will also need to? be replaced too, but im talking about the main device.........plus the icon batteries are far cheaper than buying a new ego body/battery :) cheers scott

Great review Scott! I have Icon for a week and I love it. The only things that could be better is the spring (it is very soft) and the threads of the locking mechanism (it is very easy to lock it unwillingly while vaping). Also, the media blasted finish is more scratch resistant (I know this because I am carrying? a satin and a media blasted together and media blasted scratched the satin one, lol). Other than that, we are talking about an almost perfect device that I - personally - give 9.8/10.

Thanks for another highly professional review Scott. I'm very pleased with my GG Slim apart from the poor battery life that can't be avoided in such a small device. It seems the ICON ticks all the boxes for those of us who don't? like to vape higher than 3.7v, who prefer a less hunky design in our PVs and want good battery life.
