I fooled around with the older 2000 and 2003 versions something like a decade ago, they're rather powerful and super easy to use tools for creating simple 2D RPG games. Really amazing detailed maps, menu and skills, in most games I don't see people who pay too much attention to dialogue or punctuation, but yours is just a really great refresher xD might I ask where you got that "Save Crystal" you're using? Well? I tried to upload the orig installer but it's 30MB and I keep erroring out on upload so I uploaded the installer WITHOUT the RTP. You can use this file to install 1.02a, then install the RTP after. This looks great, but I hate rpg makers always using front facing battles. I know people can make side scripts but it's a ton of work making all the? extra sprite animations and stuff. I also preferred the graphics of RPG Maker XP, but it's all just opinion I guess.

oh come on! there are MANY differences. features like the one that gives you the option to use different tiles for each map, are? GREAT! also the face + sprite construction is very useful, eventhough we used to do the same using online generators.. anyway I would love creating in Ace but my game is already in VX.. =.= a poor person I am.. Traits its the main diference, those are like special statics that u can add to everything, class, items, monsters ect, i adds toon of personalitation The tilesets from RPG XP are? back!!! In the Skill section now has more personalitation, skills can now only be avaible if X weapon is equip, you can now make ur own formula damage, ie: the damage done its eual to HP/2 of the user It just have a toon of new features, just the better RPG maker done until now, even better than 2003..

When? using the "Erase Event" action, the event will temporarily disappear so you may carry on with the current map. Unfortunately, it allows the event to restart every time the map is refreshed, too. If you want to fix that, you could change the "Erase Event" to turning on a self switch. Then make a new tab with that switch activated, but leave the tab blank. That way, the event should stay off from then on. Or at least, to my understanding it should work like that. :P

Hay i followed you tutorial and set up a 'Auto' event that selects gender, and class. Works seemingly perfect. Character can run about as a male or female (or a wolf lol) I have a problem though im trying to get the start map as small as possible so theres? other events That port to other maps. That sounds pretty cool. For a shorter game with under 100 battles this is a MASSIVE improvement over the default battle system. I was instantly impressed by it from a technical perspective. My comment was only meant to say that it is unfortunate that it doesn't fit as is (since you published the scripts themselves for others to use) in most RPGs due to their proliferation of random? encounters.

Ah, sorry, misread that. But beware that the battle system doesn't include long overdrive animations, bard songs, and other silly long, tedious animations. It puts the game into sideview(and optionally ATB). My particular game is short and has less than 20 fights in the entire game, so it's fine. There is a sideview script without ATB, which virtually has NO effect on the time consumption? of battles, so if you like sideview without the concept of Active Time, there you go.

if? you are aiming for good controls, I suggest VTP (Verus Tempus Proelium) since it is quick and easy to learn, but as for coolness you can try requiem or PRABS. FBSIII is not much on scripts but rather events and scripts that support it. :)) Compatible to place even on a Tankentai.
