Good performance, but the movement lacks density. Some of the longer phrases are unnecessarily cut down into smaller, more accented pieces (see, for example, how the opening notes of the oboe may alter the organic and overall "legato" nature of the "canzona"). The style/mood set by these introductory notes is fairly replicated throughout the entire? movement, which shows consistency. Although it is a valid approach, I think it affects the beauty and flow of the piece.

Thanks for praising me and making so many suppositions about about me. You call that 'childlike'??? That's like a hippopotamus after swallowing an elephant! The movement's tempo marking is Andantino in? modo di canzona which means that there needs to be a certain pace and that it is song-like (a song not a funeral march!). Not "self-indulgence" at all. You seem not to know how music like this gets made -- which is expert, collaborative, and carefully rehearsed -- not some kind of ego thing. In this case, the conductor worked with Bennett (the oboe) and Paulson (the bassoon) for exactly this effect, and they delivered as great professionals do. The oboe starts, in a simple, childlike way;? then, the bassoon finishes, like the voice of years of wisdom. Try listening again, and you might catch it.

hehehehe super ich bin immer auf der autobahn gefahren viele jahre ich habe den bau der strecke verfolgen können und dann endlich konnte ich sehen wie die ICE`s vorbeirauschten da habe ich mir auch gewünscht mit 300 kmh ans ziel zukommen leider fuhr ich nur? 89 kmh mehr gab mein Lkw nicht her echt schön ich konnte fast immer sagen wo der ICE sich befand nur eines hab ich verpasst Montabaur aber Ransbach der Autohof klar und deutlich zu sehen Danke schön fürs Hochladen

I really don't know why people look down on the Air Force in general so much. They have pretty high standards, as far as I can tell. Maybe it's the, "Chair Force," thing, but even then, you? shouldn't go into a military branch wanting, or expecting to be in firefights 90% of the time, I think you should view it as a job, that you're privileged to work in, and get great benefits from.

Hi Jatin, a wonderful compilation of the sense of SFS as we knew it, quite some time back...the grounds, the corridors, the little park, water tap...all seem timeless in the video.Looking at it, I was transported back 15 years back. The song selection was also great. I am a 1996 pass out of SFS.. we were fortunate to have a league of teachers to guide us and mold us....n that's what? has made me what ever i am today....My Salutes to SFS and all those wonderful teachers and principals.

While I know there are digital emulators for some of the old string keyboards, it seems odd than regular synths could rarely ever make sounds quite like them. There were numerous? organs w/ synth features that could, but not really mainly synth keyboards.

The weird thing is that I read that the guy who signed Creed was in one of the bands on the Grass roster. I can't? remember what the name of that band was but this guy was dropping names like Nation Of Ulysses and Ornette Coleman I believe. I thought it was really bizarre that someone who knew that much about music would be involved in signing perhaps the worst music ever imaginable.

Camille Sciara ran grass records and was very, very faithful to? her bands. In 1994, Grass was bought out by a branch of BMG that later turned Grass into Wind-up records. They fired the entire staff, dropped all the bands and signed Creed and Evanscence. There you go. Greatest label of the 90's turned to shit overnight. --Crawford from mousetrap.

I saw? Brainiac 3 times between '92 and '95. Great onstage, yet I only owned one 7inch by them-need to get a full length still. I read that the guy who ran Grass (Brainiac's 1st label) wound up working for the majors and signed Creed (the shitty one not Helios).

@Jauly The were in a class of their own. Of their contemporaries, only Arab on Radar could possibly compare. All of their LPs from the original line-up are essential listening. My personal fave is Law of? Ruins. The latest one, with the semi-reunited band, is a bit of a disappointment.

I would start with the Touch and Go (Big Black's? second label ironically enough) 1991 CD rerelease of both Alien Soundtracks/Half Machine Lip Moves LP's from '78. These have the raspy lo-fi element of "Severe Exposure" yet musically there is common ground with later stuff from '82 like "3rd From The Sun" LP, "Fire Bomb" single, "Chronicals I" LP, etc. The band must have lived in the studio in '82 because they recorded & released like 6 albums or more.
