@WrestleCommunity There's no REAL difference between the two. It's almost unnoticeable really. The only difference is the vibration from the power. It's so the blades don't touch your skin and whatnot. The power blades wear out fast than the manual for some reason. I don't know why this is. It's safe to say that manual is your way to go. It's cheaper by $3-$4 too. Check your Sunday? paper for coupons in the P&G magazine. Don't buy the aftershave, it's horrible, and it smells like antifreeze.

I usually shave every 3 days. After 3 days the hair is long enough and I get a nice clean shave, no cuts or irritation. However, if I attempt to shave after just one day or even two days, my whole neck because irritated and for some reason I? get so many cuts. I never cut myself on 3 days growth, it is strange to me. Hi Mantic...just wanted to let you know how good your instructions are. Using your teachings, I started wet shaving about 2 weeks ago WITH A MERKUR SLANT BAR AND FEATHER BRAND RAZORS!! I was blissfully unaware that I was supposedly in very dangerous waters until I read some comments on different shave forums regarding the slant bar and? Feather razors. Hey I bought a traditional shaving set including a DE Razor, Super Badger shaving brush not long ago. I'm using Truefitt & Hill's shaving cream and after shave balm and the shave feels great. But I have one problem, when it comes to my throat, I can't seem to find a way to shave it withour getting bumps and cuts. Hello, I am 20 and I recently inherited my grand fathers razor and accessories. I decided to put them to use and just have a quick question to help identify some blades. The blades that I have are the ones on the top left that you pick up and press the blades out. Are these blades decent? I have a really thick coarse beard as both my father and grandfather had. @fede4real those clippers are used on dry hair&skin and leave no irritation at all since it doesnt pull the hair off the folicle it just cut it too short that its not visible to the eye but not as close as a razor so you dont cut yourself or get? post shave complications.Dont try the rotatory ones or the pulling type or you will feel sorry you had. This clipper type is the answer

@Robert5p3 dont ever shave that area with a razor.You need to buy a small clipper,one like the regular used for hair cut but the small version.That way you dont cut yourself and still get a close shave aboiding ingrown hairs or shaving bumps, check Whal shavers.They are cheap batteyr or charger operated may cost 20 or 25 but you will? save in the long run plus save your skin

Sure most Traditional Shavers do prefer to use old fashioned Safety razors but those kind of razors are really not what Teenagers want for shaving their faces with. I'm 18 years old and I'm better off using a modern cartridge razor for now. Before I had a single bladed safety razor I thought it would be nice? to shave the old fashioned way but because I'm a young guy and I still have pimples on my face a modern cartridge razor is safer and easier.

@zandalis Better to remember it this way; First pass ALWAYS WITH THE GRAIN. Second pass depends more on how heavy your beard is. I fx have almost no hair on my face, so I go straight to against the grain on my second pass, where someone with a very heavy beard should? do just this one more pass with the grain before going for that "baby-smooth" feel... ;D Bottom line though, is that you ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS do at least the first pass WITH THE GRAIN.

I've been? using my grand dad's Gillette adjustable single blade razor since about 1990. I have rarely shaved with anything else, and get a super comfortable close shave. I used to cut myself often in the beginning, almost never anymore. And, the blades are only $2 for 10. That will last me several months. I also use soap scraps and a boars hair brush. No waste, no cans to buy and throw away. Everyone should try shaving this way.

I have been a little? disappointed with my DE razor experience so far. I have been DE shaving for about 9 months now and I have been using a Merkur HD and a Edwin jagger DE89. Both of these razors leave my face feeling irritated as well as leaving an unacceptable amount of stubble. I have tried using different blades, shaving techniques and creams, but nothing seems to have improved. There's a lot of marketing bullshit surrounding multi-bladed razors, but they really give me great shave!

After watching your videos I decided I wanted to try traditional wet shaving. I picked up a Gilette non-adjustable DE razor at a charity store for a whole 20 cents! I had a few nicks to begin with, but I've been shaving for a few months this way, and I very rarely nick myself now. The shave is nice and close, and I don't have to worry about the razor clogging up with soap and whiskers, like disposables. And it's cheap, only about 40 cents a? blade. I just started shaving with a safety razor 2 days ago and I butchered my face a bit. I have cut myself shaving before, but every time before this it has stopped bleeding within a few minutes. But this morning when I shaved with a safety razor, I cut my lip slightly and it bled for almost a half hour. For the parts of my face I did not? cut, I definitely had a better shave than with the fusion I was using previously, but the parts that I cut bled forever. Do you have any advice regarding this?

I'm 58 and grew up shaving with a double edge blade. I just went to buy some quadruple blade cartridges and finally got fed up with the price and ordered an Edwin Jagger razor along with the brush and shaving soap AND 100 Derby Extra razors, all this stuff was only about double what a large box? of cartridges cost. I also remember how close double edge razors shaved and the best part was slipping them through the slot in the back of the medicine cabinet. Great video.

I think a little alcohol such as in Witch Hazel is good at least for me. Ive? been doing some tinkering with different after shaves. Seems to me that the ones that contain a small amount of alcohol seems to calm my face quicker. Now im not speaking of just ol regular after shave that is 50% alcohol but say the 10% that is in Thayers/Humphries.

TODAY, I got all my stuff in from West? Coast, put my merkur progress on "2", wet face and lathered up with some prorasco. I started wetshaving in the past week, and your videos have? been so helpful. At first I just got the cream and brush and kept using my cartridge razor, and that was a noticeable improvement. Ordered a Merkur shortly after, and? am very happy. I have a lot of room for improvement, and I could upgrade my cheap badger brush, but I'm pleased so far. Smoking and smoking, the barber lacks professionalm I think. He was smoking which is not what he ought be doing. Secondly, he shaved him too fast and failed to get a shave against the grain. He cut the man because he did not properly prepare the area? and soften the beard with hot soapy water before applying hot shave cream to soak a while. Mantic, I got my first DE shave today using a Merkur Vision 2000 this thing is big and heavy compared to my Mach 3 Power which Im looking to ditch. I got a few niks having my head (I shave bald) but Im sure with practice I will no longer cut myself. I noticed that Im unable to shape up my beard due to the Bulky razor so I had to revert back to my Mach 3 for the shape up of my beard.? Do you have any tips for shaping up a beard using DE razor? Or should I consider a straight razor for shaping?
