Skechers Shape Ups are similar to MBTs, which one is better? I have a pair of MBT walking shoes in red and a pair of Sketchers Shape ups in black and I''m able to compare them side by side. The answer is not clear. One of them is better for an abdomimnal workout and the other one is better for your gluteals and thighs. Both are good options for exercise shoes, neither shoe is very cute.

I bought Sketchers not because I believed in all the hoopla but? smply because my sister talked me into it. The Shape-ups are comfortable if you walk in a mall where the surface is all smooth and flat. I've tried them on a sidewalk and I'm not happy. Your legs go in a funny angle and I'm sure that can't be good for any muscle group. I wouldn't recommend them at all.

I tried one on last night in a store, and it would probably take awhile to get used to wearing for long periods as? just a shoe. This is because of that big bulge in the middle of the shoe, you have a slight rock back and forth to your heel. I think it would be excelent for a running shoe though. Just like he says in the video, its super light, and comfy. Almost like wearing a sock with a sole.

It's obvious (to most of us anyway) that his point is that the shoe is as close as you can get to natural running without it being a true minimalist shoe. I have read about this shoe on other blogs... it's 6.9 oz. Though not a V5F, it's minimal enough for most runner's needs. It's obviously meant to be a tweener between minimal and conventional... a nice place to be right now with so many minimalists suffering from stress fractures, etc.

This is a great presentation! I have weak ankles and tend to fall quite a bit because of it. This has happened all my life and more so as I age. I'll be sure to avoid the unbalanced shoes. Personally, I am a fan of Z-coils and own several pairs (running, hiking, sandals, & mary janes). A heel-to-toe? rocker sole shoe like Ryn, will offload pressure on the ball of your foot. I recommend going to a store that carries them, and trying them on for at least 10 minutes. If you have no discomfort in the ball of your foot, you may have a winner.

I bought these pair of skechers shape ups, because they look so nice and comfortable to take long walks with, but honestly they increased the pain on my lower back. @barbara82559. I stopped wearing them and wrote to Sketchers about my problem. They gave me a different shoe? that was flat bottom and I gave them the sketchers back. It is November now and I still have problems with my knees but not as severe. I don't really think think they will ever heal. I wear a knee brace to help support them when the pain starts. I have a friend that is 15 yrs younger than me who got theres the same day I did.

I bought sketchers shape ups in Jan 2011. I had a heel spur and they helped my heel spur so it wouldn't hurt when I walked. After a few months of wearing these shoes everyday my right knee? started hurting and popping. Then it went to my left knee. It was hurting really bad. I couldn't do hardly anything. My Dr gave me a cortisone shot that only lasted 2 weeks and then the pain was back. I finally figured out it was the shoes that caused my problems.

I just bought the Danskin Now brand of these and am in? Love with them, I am always pushing a stroller or shopping cart with my two girls in it with the combined weight of 70lbs plus the weight of the stroller and boy do I feel the burn in my legs, cant wait to start to see the results=) but I love mine and got them for 20.00 two days ago

yesterday i walked in the skechers for a? while and today my caves are burning haha. The price in the netherlands is euro 150 wich is about$200 and at the px they were $ 79!!!! so today i am going to buy them , i will use them for walking my dog. I have read some revieuws that said you must put on other shoes too otherwise your toes get no pressure! oh and if a shoes does the weight loss why would anybody be fat , but i believe if you walk a lot like me it will gain weightloss

Thanks for the video. I have bad knees. My physical therapist that? I MUST wear them at work, and just hanging around the house. He told me that his client had such great results wearing them, that he now considers wearing them mandatory. Every time I'd show up for therapy, he'd say where are the shape-ups? You need to go get them! I went on my normal walk yesterday, and this morning I woke up, I felt as though my whole body had been worked out--abs and everything. So far, Iove.

The poverty stricken kids aren't wearing BOBS. They're wearing someone's used shoes. Do they care? Probably not, but used shoes will not last as long as new ones, so if you're going to buy either TOMS or BOBS it makes more sense to buy the brand that will give these kids a product that will last longer. Also, I'd bet my entire savings that TOMS are better quality. Why waste your money on shoes that will wear out faster and whose charity gives a product that won't serve its recipient as? long?

I don't understand why sketchers felt they had to copy toms shoe design in order to donate shoes to children who need them. If they cared they would have just tagged on the charity to their existing shoes, or to a new shoe with a more original design. If they were doing this with a different shoe they could attract customers who don't like the toms design, thus getting more shoes to kids who need them by combining their efforts with toms. Right now all they're doing is stealing toms? customers.
