I wouldn't want slam my rollers aginst the sheet metal like that when re-installing. The proper technique is to ride the locking lever(what u called ejector)u the gradual ridge on the bolt head. The recesses in the trunion? that push the rollers in for cycling are contoured for this retraction. This method should work but may stress and damage your rollers.

I have same gun M57 and those that say that is called "long nine" are very wrong The long nine? is caliber 9X19 not the the gun becuse there is also "short nine" or .380 (9x17) M88 is "long nine" wich is M57 converted to 9x19mm I got 5 M57 from SOG and they were all in good condition and I got 4000 rounds of ammo from J&G sales The ammo is yugoslavian ammo and is from 86 production year and so far I have 1260 thru my M57 ant only one bullet I had to strike twice

i just let mine sit in paint thinner for 25 min then came over with a little paint brush and brushed the cosmo off the surface pretty good. Then ran it under hot? water(mag even longer to get in between the springs) then oiled it up and cleaned in the barrel and oiled it up lol.

I just got mine, Love it, love it better than my Glock 17 even. The barrel is much heavier to. Those gun forms are still telling everyone " no way ever ever ever will it become C&R for one reason or the other. They don't skimp on the yak grease, that's a fact.
