I? must admit, it looked like Lance could've won that stage... but why didn't he go for it?

Lance Armstrong is still the best ! ?

By: winfordbr. on 13 May 12, 03:53:20
We can agree to disagree? My point is that I was not there and I can't say definitively... After implications that Armstrong had tainted blood or urine samples or others mysteriously went missing, Armstrong still doesn't have a failed drug test on record. (Positive tests always require two samples to avoid the risk? of a false positive. None of the abnormal results were ever confirmed in this way.) Everyone person named in this article has something to gain from smearing Lance Armstrong.
By: dan32113. on 12 May 12, 19:17:56
oh dear your info is piss poor (no pun) journalist Damien Ressiot went to the UCI, to ask for Armstrongs doping control data from? 99. Lance gave his permission for them to be released. Ressiot matched the sample numbers to Lances name. Only the UCI had this info. So he matched them up to see who tested positive for EPO.
By: winfordbr. on 12 May 12, 18:04:46
According to what I've read the urine was not tested until 2004, many sources (USA Today Lance Positive Tests" 2004) state that the science was faulty and there was NO way to know if the piss belonged to LA? Don't put all your eggs in one basket, look from all angles and don't assert emotion. If the case was rock-solid I think someone would have pushed the issue...the French? have an ax to grind, thank you for encouraging me to read more on the issue.
By: dan32113. on 12 May 12, 17:45:05
The test for EPO was introduced in 2000, so the 1999 samples were tested retrospectively, because obviously after that time riders were aware of a possibility of being caught. They went back to see if they could detect from the? last yr before testing, which was 99. It was also done to see if the EPO would show up! It did. They found 6 urine samples that belonged to Lance did show EPO.
By: winfordbr. on 12 May 12, 16:04:48
You see that's the thing WE don't know....it's not a fact, the glove didn't fit OJ and little green men could have landed at Roswell? I was not there and that piss changed hands many times and the? science was faulty? Bribes!? Stop it.
By: dan32113. on 12 May 12, 15:26:31
i don"t know, why tests were missed, not conducted! bribes? the fact is EPO was found? in 6 samples of Lance Armstrong from 1999 Tour.
By: winfordbr. on 11 May 12, 22:52:11
As badly as the French wanted to find ways to dispute LA's dominance, why hold the urine samples for almost 5 years and never assert the validity or accuracy of said test/samples? Seems a bit like political rhetoric? Lance was never stripped or challenged for his title? Who holds? piss for 5 years!? Explanation?
By: dan32113. on 11 May 12, 20:07:09
EPO was found in 6? samples of Armstrong!
By: dan32113. on 11 May 12, 20:05:55
one source? ha ha. the man who invented the EPO test, is a pretty significant testimony!!!? can you get any more expert than Dr Ashenden. free speech, whats wrong with that..
By: winfordbr. on 11 May 12, 14:53:52
Just one source here but seriously, urine samples from 1999 were not tested until 2004 and tests could not be linked directly to LA, French also stated that their science was? faulty. Dude! Watch the video and appreciate sport, stop shooting at it.
By: winfordbr. on 11 May 12, 14:43:46
Not true, do? your research.
By: dan32113. on 11 May 12, 14:00:04
Actually a positive has shown up for EPO Armstrong"s urine samples from 99 Tour. Dr Michael Ashenden, "there is no doubt in my mind he (Armstrong took EPO during the 99 Tour" Ashenden is one of the? scientists who designed the tests used to detect EPO.
By: winfordbr. on 11 May 12, 02:08:32
I'm not a fan of any ONE cyclist, I respect the sport...for the record, I respected Lemond until he started bashing LA. I won't even ride in a race beside a Lemond Rigg, even his bikes give me the heebeegeebees! I respect the accomplishment and unless I see PROOF then how/why condemn anyone who has not tested positive? Should we erase all Contador accomplishments because he tested + once? Never! ?
By: dan32113. on 10 May 12, 20:52:05
i"ve read the book, on Lance and his comeback. It doesn"t mean he was clean? though. I recommend bad blood by Jeremy Whittle, & breaking the chain willy voets book. Greg Le Mond IS respected in Europe because he rode clean. I"ve never found anything "dirty" on him. David Walsh"s book on Armstrong is pretty damning, LA Confidential but i havent read it.
By: winfordbr. on 09 May 12, 23:07:36
You gotta read the LA Bio "It's not about the? Bike" ..........
By: dan32113. on 09 May 12, 20:53:18
do you like Apples?? please explain
By: x9bean9x. on 09 May 12, 09:16:11
I wasn't aware of that, thanks. my point was that we can all say what we want, but the record will stay as 7 consecutive tour wins by LA, until someone beats it/he admits to doping. And I see your disdain with? 'fanboys' especially recently (being from england, the awareness Cav has brought is great but some people just have no clue!') but can promise you that while my opinions differ from yours, I was brought up from an early age by my dad as a cycling lover, before and after Lance's 'reign'.
By: winfordbr. on 09 May 12, 02:05:14
Nooooooo, not a "fanboy" silly!? I'm a fan of competitive sport and the lady makes a good point above...until it's proven or LA admits it then 7 is the lucky number? I am from Texas? so yep I may be a bit biased, do you like apples?
By: dan32113. on 08 May 12, 13:11:03
you can dismiss my other comment calling you a fanboy. I hadn"t seen the 1st comment you made. For some reason it hadn"t gone into my inbox, so i took this one out of context. I personally am not an Armstrong hater, but do feel alot of comments made on youtube? are from ill informed cyclist "fanboys!"
By: dan32113. on 08 May 12, 11:38:07
i just find it odd, the Feds had a case against him, that was suddenly closed. Apparently others working on the case were shocked, all his rivals been caught, Pantani, Virenque, Riis, Ulrich, Contador etc. Yet nothing on teflon Lance? Armstrong is very powerful, has obvious strong links with Nike, Dr Ferrari? aka drug Doctor, donations to UCI. failed samples from 1999. etc etc. Armstrong to powerful, worth too much money to Nike, & UCI to bring down. You have to wonder!
