Hello. I have one question. I have a home theater system and HDTV. That would mean I would require TWO HDMI wires: one that connects home theater with HD Media Player and the other that connects HDTV with HD Media Player. Wouldn't that require two HDMI ports in the HD Media Player, whereas there's a provision for only one port, though. Or, could I just use the? component wires to plugin the HD Media player with the home theater?

Pretty nicely filmed, but God...this CONSTANT blabbering gave me a severe headache just afetr a first minute! Excellent review for mentaly challenged ppl, and very small babies, cause they really needed? naming batteries, cables etc. As I said - just turn off the sound and you'll have a decent WD TV Live presentation.

when I play ( H264 & X264 ) Audio sync are not even with the video. the person talks but the sound comes out 3 seconds later. it played fine earlier but its doing it now and its doing it on all my (H264 & x264) another issue is wmv9 it supports but wont support wmv earlier codec? . the Firmware Release 1.01.77 (12/3/09). a home made tweak might be needed to fix these issues

I have my DVDs just backed up to a USB drive in the original DVD folder structure (Video_TS / VOB files) because my pc didn't have the horsepower to convert the files. My other player (Seagate FAT+)? plays these folders just like if you'd stuck a dvd in the drive. The WD ust lists a bunch of VOB files. Lame.

BEWARE! This video is really good, but the fault is WD. The new one with USB3 is NOT sata nor ide, they made it literally USB. So you can NOT use it internally because there is no conversion board. You can not see it in the video, but it's in the shiny metal? thing under the hd at the end of the video. New one with usb3 do not have it. If you have the older usb2 version, go ahead, it will be most probably sata (or ide). USB3 is literally usb3... Sad...

i did a little experiment between Seagate 250 gb HDD and WD 250gb HDD i put them on a 24/7 5 weeks stress by downloading any movies, music, pics and Hardcore 12gb+ games. after a while i checked that both the HDDs, they both have theyre on system seagate on 1 pc and wd on another pc both has same specs. when i tried to transfer 50gb items on an external hardrive using the wd system, it gave me like 3mb/s? while the seagate 50-60mb/s. any ideas?

I have one of these and what I did is you can plug a USB Wifi adapter (i used a linksys usb wifi plug) into the WD TV and gives it wireless network support. Then you can stream your movies over your network from a shared folder on your pc's hard drive. Or stream from youtube/Pandora music service/etc. There are also custom firmwares you can use similar to jailbreaking that adds 3rd party stuff like streaming shoutcast, streaming from other sites? other than youtube. Support for flickr, etc.

Do you think 16 or 32 gb would be enough as a boot drive? I can't afford much, but I have plenty of room for more later. Would it be a bad idea to have for example to 32 gb drives instead of one 64 gb drive? Also, that won't help with games, obviously, that aren't on the? drive, right? You'll have mechanical failures in less than 2 weeks, and if your running the drivers for it off the followed instructions, you'll lose 60 percent of your CPU power. The money isn't worth it.

I believe that it will not work because I believe It can only support about up to a 16gb flash drive. Maybe when Microsoft releases a patch to use 32gb drives, maybe that would be useful, but other than that, don't trust PC only hard drives for any console because they're not that powerful? to read more than 16gb. The term Nigg-A (notice the A) is a term crafted by American Blacks in the 1970's & 80's as a regional term to adress other Black people, or to express solidarity with them. The term Nigg-ER (notice the ER) was a term created by Colonials & slave masters during the 15? & 1600s as derogatory word to describe dark people from Africa. The intent behind the 2 words is completely different.

One of the Drives Failed. When it failed I tried to open it & the Door Latch Opened? after 10 or so tries & would never Close again. The Latch broke. When I went to Pull an individual Hard Drive out, the Plastic Handle broke in my fingers. I send the Drive back. I just picked up a 1949 gas WD, with front bucket loader, wide front, some dents and rough parts.. but runs good. This video explains quite a bit, since being new and not being able to find an operating manual. Hard to believe it still works great, being made in 1949 and? only paying 1500bucks. Very interesting video! The hitch system is interesting. All the US? manufacturers had their own hitches systems. Ford used the 3 point system, International Harvester used Fast Hitch and Case used Eagle Hitch. The power adjustable wheels were also used by International Harvester. Thanks for sharing this piece of tractor history!
